Five Alive – My Top Five Picks For the Win!
While Busch hasn’t found his way into the winner’s circle this season, he did finish third and second in last week’s pair of races at Darlington. In addition to that, Busch also has four top six finishes in his last five appearances at Charlotte, including his lone win in this event in 2018.
Harvick has two Coca Cola 600 wins (2011 and 2013) in his career and another win at Charlotte in the 2014 Bank of America 500. More importantly, he finished first and third in both races at Darlington this past week.
Martin Truex Jr.
Sure, Truex Jr. hasn’t finished better than 14th in any race this season, but the 2017 NASCAR champ has been quite dominant at Charlotte in winning two of the last three Coke 600’s while ending up in the winner’s circle an impressive three times in the last six races in Charlotte.
Logano has never won the Coca Cola 600 but he did finish second in this event in 2019 and he won on this track in the fall of 2015 as well. Logano also had two, pre-coronavirus wins under his belt this year and what could be considered a third by taking the checkered flag at the Duel #1 just days before the Daytona 500. Logano has an average finish of 10th at Charlotte, so, he will almost certainly challenge for the win.
Jones finished seventh at Charlotte in 2017 and he took the checkered flag at the unofficial season-opening Clash at Daytona. More importantly, Jones has recorded three top-10 finishes in his last four races, including a fifth place finish at Darlington on Wednesday.
