It’s another huge weekend in the world of NASCAR, as we edge ever closer to crowning the champions in all the series. We are going to focus on two of the races for this weekend. In the Cup Series, we have the Bank of America ROVAL 400, while the Xfinity Series will run the Drive for the Cure 250. It is cut time in the playoff rounds for both of these series, so it goes without saying that these races are absolutely huge. Xfinity Series: Race for the Cure 250

After the race on Saturday, the playoff field in the Xfinity Series will be reduced to 8. With wins in the opening two races, Chase Briscoe and Justin Haley will automatically advance, so we can perhaps expect to see a bit of a free for all among the drivers going after those coveted 6 open spots. Let’s take a look at some of the potential favorites for the race in Charlotte on Saturday.

With 5 wins on the season, Austin Cindric (+150) will definitely be moving into the final 8, but he also has his eye on the top prize, which he can get a little closer to with a win here. He finished 3rd at Charlotte last season, so definitely a good bet.

AJ Allmendinger (+350) is not a regular in the Xfinity Series and cannot be part of the playoff setup, but in the races that he does run, he is usually a threat to win. These are very good odds being offered right now, so worth a look.

Chase Briscoe (+400) does not need a win this weekend, but getting one would mean taking another step toward a championship. Briscoe has won 2 of his last 3 races, so he is also a good bet.

NASCAR Cup Series: Bank of America ROVAL 400

Last weekend’s race at Talladega was a stop/start affair, with crashes and spill taking place all over the track. It also featured an amazing finish, with Denny Hamlin sneaking the win at the very last second, which means that he joins Kurt Busch as guaranteed entries into the Round of 8. Let’s take a look at some of the favorites for the Charlotte race.

Chase Elliott(+220) will be moving on to the Round of 8 this weekend, but he is also the favorite to win in Charlotte on Sunday. He already has a 1st and a 2nd there this season, so there is every reason to believe that he can be near the front at the end.

Last weekend was not a good one for Kevin Harvick (+600), but he will be hoping for much better at a track where he has 3 career wins. Given how often he has led the pack this season, it would be tough to ignore him at these odds.

Martin Truex Jr. (+600) is another driver who looks ready to make the cut this weekend, but can he come up with a win? He has been in the top 10 in 6 straight races in Charlotte, which includes a pair of wins.
