The Top 5 Picks To Win!

No. 5 Kyle Busch (+650)

The reigning NASCAR champion has struggled this year as he enters this event still in search of his first victory and sitting in a modest 10th place in the standings. Still, Busch has recorded 10 Top-10 finishes and eight Top-5 finishes in 18 races this year. More importantly, Busch took the checkered flag in last weekend’s Xfinity event in Texas – before being disqualified for failing heights, with the left rear measuring too low. However, Busch then finished fourth in the Cup Series race the following day. The 35-year-old superstar has recorded three Top-10 finishes in his last four races and two Top-5 finishes and is definitely due for his first win of the season. In 24 career appearances in Kansas, Busch has 11 Top-10, seven Top-5 and one victory (2016).

No. 4 Kevin Harvick (+400)

The NASCAR points leader has a phenomenal 15 Top-10 finishes, 11 Top-5 finishes and a season-high tying four victories in 18 races this year. The 44-year-old superstar finished fifth in Texas last weekend and has an impressive 15 Top-10 finishes, eight Top-5 finishes and three victories in 28 career appearances in Kansas. Harvick won in Kansas in the spring of 2018 and has been so dominant this year that he’ll definitely have a good chance to win this event.

No. 3 Martin Truex Jr. (+600)

Seventh in the standings, Truex Jr. has nine Top-10 finishes, three Top-5 finishes and one win at Martinsville this year. The 2017 NASCAR champ might have finished a disappointing 29th in Texas last weekend, but he swept both races in Kansas in 2017 and finished second and fifth in the pair of races at Kansas in 2018. In 23 career appearances at Kansas Truex jr. has 10 Top-10 finishes, eight Top-5 finishes and the pair of aforementioned wins.

No. 2 Chase Elliott (+600)

Elliott is in fifth place in the NASCAR Cup Series standings with nine Top-10 finishes, seven Top-5 finishes and one victory in 18 races this year. Elliott finished a decent 12th last weekend in Texas and took the checkered flag in Bristol on July 15. Elliott has five Top-10 finishes and four Top-5 finishes in eight career appearances in Kansas not to mention one victory in the fall of 2018. Elliot also has a stupendous three straight Top-4 finishes and five in his last six outings at Kansas!

No. 1 Denny Hamlin (+700)

Hamlin is in sixth place in the standings with 10 Top-10 finishes, nine Top-5 finished and a season-high tying four victories. While the 39-year-old superstar finished a disappointing 20t in Texas last weekend, he’s also the last driver to win in Kansas by taking the Hollywood Casino 400 in October. In 23 career appearances in Kansas, Hamlin has recorded eight Top-10 finishes, seven Top-5 finishes and a pair of wins (2019, 2012). In his last eight races, Hamlin has a pair of wins and three other Top-5 finishes and that tells me he’s a great pick to win the 2020 Super State Batteries 400.
