What a 2021 season it was for the Michigan Wolverines! Jim Harbaugh proved everyone wrong last season. Very few pundits thought that Michigan could beat the Buckeyes and win the Big 10, which is exactly what happened. They even made it to the College Football Playoffs, but they sadly lost to the Georgia Bulldogs in the semis.
The Wolverines are currently priced 30-1 to win the National Championship in 2022. A lot of pundits feel that they can compete with Ohio State and they can win the Big 10 again. They’ll have some work to do, but they should have a very talented roster once again this season. Let’s take a closer look at them so you can bet against their College Football Odds.

Season Overview
The Wolverines lost a lot of players from their stellar defensive unit from last season. Aidan Hutchinson and David Ojabo are the two biggest losses from that unit.
Michigan also lost both coordinators to other big-time jobs. Harbaugh promoted from within, so there shouldn’t be much schematic change on either side of the ball.
In looking at their schedule, we’ve found some games that, if you play your cards right, you could win some money on. Let’s go over some of those games.
Weeks 1-3: The Non Conference Slate
Michigan’s non conference portion of the schedule should be fairly easy. The Wolverines open up with Colorado State at home, then host Hawaii, and then they end their non conference schedule with Connecticut.
All three of these games should be pretty straightforward for the Wolverines. As long as the spread isn’t absurdly high, we’d recommend going with Michigan.
Hawaii is always a very offensive-oriented team, so we could see a lot of points scored in that one. UConn’s program has been one of the worst in Division 1 over the past few seasons, so this should be a huge victory for Harbaugh’s squad.
Week 4 vs Maryland
Maryland isn’t going to be the pushover that it has been over the past few seasons. Mike Locksley has done a good job of bringing the Terrapin program back to a good state.
Locksley is known for his offensive innovations, and his programs have shown that they can score points in bunches. We like Michigan in this one, and we think that it will be over the point total as well. This one could turn into a shootout.
Week 6 @ Indiana
Even though the Indiana Hoosiers should be down again in 2022, this one could end up being a lot closer than the spread would indicate. Michigan should go into this one as a big favorite, but the Wolverines will be coming off of a tough matchup against Iowa on the road.
That will be a very tough game for Harbaugh’s team, and even if they end up winning at Kinnick Stadium, the Wolverines may come out a little sluggish in this one.
Unless the spread is really small, we’re going to go out on a limb and recommend taking the Hoosiers in this one. We think that it should be a decent-sized spread and that Michigan will struggle in beating the Hoosiers.
