Race 7 – 3:49 pm ET – 6 Furlongs Dirt – $30,000 Claiming
Because she goes up in class, Papa’s Little Girl is 10/1 on the morning line. If she repeats either of her last two, though, she can win this. Give the longshot runner from Jose Garoffalo’s barn a huge shot.
Forever Marta must come from the clouds. The Luis Duco trained 4-year-old filly takes a drop in class. Also, in the past few days, speed on the front end hasn’t lasted. That gives Marta a shot.
Trainer Joseph Orseno drops 7/5 on the morning line Ms Meshak from optional claiming $62,500 to this $30,000 claimer. Sure, Orseno could be looking for a quick score. But if the 5-year-old mare has decided she’d rather head to the farm that race competitively, it won’t matter how far Joseph drops her. Best to use underneath.

Race 9 – 4:52 pm ET – 6 Furlongs Dirt –$25,000 Claiming
Julio Cartagena has saddled just 17 horses during this meet. He’s won with 2 of those 17 runners. Jungle Warrior might give him his third victory. The Animal Kingdom sired 4-year-old gelding takes a slight drop in class from $30,000 claimers. Warrior also gets blinkers, a weight break, and has plenty of cheap speed to chase.
Travelin Gambler won’t be part of the cheap speed. The early-presser gets a massive weight break and blinkers. Jockey Christian Torres fits this one well. Expect the 5/1 morning line choice to bury the two Larry Rivelli chalks.
We prefer one of those chalks, Jettin Out, over the other, Vincent Williams. Vincent strikes us as a one-hit wonder. Williams’ best race happened in a 4 ½ furlong dash. Jettin Out broke its maiden at the 6 furlong distance. Jettin Out can win. Consider for both top and bottom of your exotics.

Race 11 – 5:55 pm ET – 1 Mile Dirt – $75,000 Allowance Optional Claiming
Trainer John Servis puts the saddle on Fiftyshays Ofgreen. A stakes-placed runner sired by Bernardini, Fiftyshays failed to hit the board in the Grade 3 Honeybee. She cuts back in distance and should get a nice trip behind the speed.
Some of that speed should come from Carlos Silva trained Judy’s Way. It helps that hall-of-fame jockey Edgar Prado jumps aboard. Prado is excellent at gauging pace. He’ll ensure Judy is in a prime position to get the win. She may not be good enough, but it won’t be because Edgar gives her a bad ride.
Sammy Camacho aboard Spartanka will try to put her in the garden spot. Mike Maker overshot by entering the daughter of Street Sense into the Grade 2 Gulfstream Park Oaks off just a maiden win. This $75,000 optional claimer makes much more sense.
