Washington Nationals vs Miami Marlins MLB Betting OddsDate: Wednesday, July 29th, 2015 Time: 05:10 PM Venue: Marlins Park, Miami, Florida Opening MLB Odds: Miami -125 Baseball fans have been waiting all year for the Nationals (52-45) to hit a run of form that would see them pull away in the division, but it is yet to happen. One of the biggest issues, other than injury concerns, for Washington all year has been their performance on the road. They are 2 games under .500 to this point in the season, and are once again struggling through this current 10 game road trip. They started out by losing 3 of 4 games to the Pirates on the road, and will then have to head to New York to face the Mets before they go home. The lead atop the division is just 2 games, and that could be wiped out of they don’t get their act together during this trip. Doug Fister (3-6, 4.50 ERA) will get the start for the Nationals on Wednesday, which is not necessarily good news. Fister has struggled of late, and the Nats have gone just 1-6 in his last 7 starts. At this stage of the season, the only reason people have any interest in the Marlins (41-58) is to see what they will do once the trade deadline rolls around. This team has been out of any kind of playoff contention for as long as anyone can remember, and they now just seem to be going through the motions, which means this is likely to be a pretty long couple of months for Marlins fans. The Marlins started the second half by getting swept by the Philadelphia Phillies, and are now just 3-7 through the first 10 games of the second half. On the bright side of things, it is expected that Dee Gordon might return to the line-up before the week comes to a close.
