Noah Gragson

If you want to talk about getting hot at the right time, you need to be talking about Noah Gragson. September has proven to be a great month for this driver, as he has now won back-to-back races and is looking to make it a trio this weekend. Gragson is looking to once again make it to the final 4, which he did last season, except this time around, he will want to take the final step that leads to him becoming the Xfinity Series champion. He finished outside of the top 10 in his previous run on the Bristol track, but his current form suggests that we might expect better this weekend.

Ty Gibbs

In his first full season in the Xfinity Series, Gibbs has excelled, winning 5 races to this point, the same number as Gragson. He is on a run now that has seen him fail to win in each of the last 4 races, but he did have a 3rd place finish in Kansas last weekend, so it’s not as though he is going through any type of struggle. Given that this is just his first full season, we don’t have a ton of info to go on in regards racing at Bristol, with his lone previous run there seeing him finish outside the top 10. I would expect better this weekend.

AJ Allmendinger

At 40 years of age, you get the sense that Allmendinger is running out of time to win a championship. He ditched the Cup Series in favor of the Xfinity Series last season, making it all the way to the final 4 before settling for 3rd overall. He is very much in the hunt again this season and has already picked up 3 wins. There is very reason to believe he might add to that total this weekend, as he won this corresponding race in Bristol last year.

Justin Allgaier

We have said it before, but it is worth repeating that Allgaier has been the nearly man during his time in the Xfinity Series. Since going full-time in the Xfinity Series in 2009, Allgaier has made it to the final 4 on 6 different occasions, but he has failed to win the championship yet. Might this be the season that he brings that run to an end? A win this weekend would certainly help his cause, and with a 4th place finish in Bristol last year, he might get a win on Friday.
