It’s a big weekend in NASCAR this season, with the Cup Series set to start the playoffs. We still have 3 races to come before the Xfinity Series starts their playoff, which means that we can probably expect some wild stuff before we get to the end of the regular season. This weekend, the Xfinity Series will be in Darlington for the Sports Clips Haircuts VFW Help a hero 200. While the focus tends to be on the drivers at the top of the standings, once we get to this point, we all start paying more attention to the playoff cut line. There is a real battle for those 12 spots going on, so it’s going to be interesting to see how things look after this one. Let’s take a look at the potential NASCAR Xfinity Series Betting favorites this Saturday afternoon.
NASCAR Xfinity Series Betting Preview for the 2022 Help A Hero 200 by Darlington Race
Ty Gibbs
Gibbs comes into the final few races with a real shot at ending things as the regular season champion. While it wasn’t a win, Gibbs put in a better performance last weekend, landing in the top 10 with a 7th place finish. He has 5 wins on the season already and has a pretty solid lead at the top, but you can bet that he will want to get some good runs under his belt before the playoffs begin. There really isn’t much to go on in terms of performance in Darlington, as this will be his first run on this track with the Xfinity Series.
Justin Allgaier
The goal of every driver is to head into the playoffs in a great run of form. Allgaier has been mostly consistent this season, picking up 3 wins and landing on the podium on a regular basis. The last couple of weeks have not been so great for Allgaier, though, so he will be looking to get back on track with a good performance in Darlington. He won on this track earlier in the season, so perhaps this will be the weekend when he gets back on the podium. Again, it really is more about putting in a good run and breaking out of this mini slump.
Noah Gragson
If I was put on the spot and asked to name a winner this weekend, I believe that my money would be on Noah Gragson. He finished strong last season, finishing 3rd overall, and he is very much on pace to match that or perhaps even do better. I would suggest that this is his chance to really make a mark, as he won this corresponding race last season, while also running 2nd at Darlington earlier this season. I am sticking my neck out and picking Gragson to win.
AJ Allmendinger
If we are going to talk about consistent performance late in the regular season, we need to talk about Allmendinger. Over the last 5 races, he has a win and has never been worse than 7th during that run. Overall, Allmendinger has 3 wins on the season, with his recent form suggesting that he could make another deep run this season. That said, his last couple of runs at Darlington have not been particularly great.
