NASCAR Xfinity Series: Go Bowling at The Glen Odds and Betting Analysis of the Race

The NASCAR season is moving almost as quickly as the drivers zip around the track, with just 4 races now remaining in the Xfinity Series regular season. Once those 4 races have been completed, the field will be cut to 12 and the playoffs will begin, but only 1 driver will be crowned as the champion. Who will that be? We all have our picks for who we believe will be the last man standing, but a lot can happen between now and then. This weekend, the drivers will be tearing around the Watkins Glen road course at the Shriners Children’s 200. As so often happens when we have a road race, there will be Cup Series drivers racing in the Xfinity Series to try and get some practice in on the track. This will be the 3rd such visit for Busch this season, and while he may be the favorite here, he has failed to win in each of those previous races at this level. While that may come as a surprise to many of you, it simply proves that winning a race is just not that easy. Busch has been more than a little off form in the Cup Series over the past month, so he might well see this as a bit of an opportunity to get his groove back.

Ty Gibbs

NASCAR Xfinity Odds: +255

This has the potential to be a very big weekend for Gibbs. As it stands right now, he is sitting below the cut line in the race for the Cup Series top 16. A win in this race might well just set him up for something bigger, with a win in the Cup Series sure to vault him back above that all-important line. There is certainly every reason to believe that he can win this one, as that is exactly what he did in the Xfinity Series last weekend, taking the checkered flag on the Indianapolis Road Course. He did not have a great run on this track in his championship winning season in 2022, but I expect much better this weekend.

Alex Bowman

NASCAR Xfinity Odds: +550

Yup, yet another Cup Series driver getting some practice on the Watkins Glen track ahead of the big Sunday race. Bowman is another one sitting below the cut line right now, and much like Gibbs, he needs a big weekend if he is to drive himself into the playoff picture. The last time he raced in the Xfinity Series was on the Indy Road Course in 2022, finishing 2nd in that one. He has a good shot at a top 3 or 5 finish here.

Justin Allgaier

NASCAR Xfinity Odds: +890

It took a minute, but we finally get to look at a full-time Xfinity Series driver, and it’s perhaps no real surprise that it would be Allgaier up this high on the bookies board. He has been a consistent performer throughout his career and always seems to find a way to be up among the leaders in just about every race. Wins have been hard to come by for Allgaier this season, and with so many Cup Series drivers in this race, it might be tough again this weekend. I would, though, be willing to take him to finish in the top 5.
