Cleveland Clear NBA Betting Lines Favorite vs Nets

If we have learned anything about professional sports over the years, it’s that spending the most amount of money is no guarantee of success. If you look at the team payrolls this year, you will see that the teams with the best records –and NBA betting lines— in the league, the Golden State Warriors and Atlanta Hawks, rank 17th and 27th, respectively. Then you have teams that are way up there in terms of payroll who are fighting for their playoff lives.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs Brooklyn Nets NBA Betting Lines

NBA Betting Lines Analysis and Game Preview

The Brooklyn Nets are one of those teams. They have the 6th highest payroll in the league, yet they are currently on the outside looking in at the playoffs in the Eastern Conference. They are sitting 2.5 games out of that final spot, but time is beginning to run out, making it increasingly more difficult to make a run that will drastically change their fortunes.  They are certainly showing little sign of being able to make the kind of run needed, as they are now just 4-6 in their last 10 games. Brooklyn did manage to halt a 5-game losing skid by knocking off the Philadelphia 76ers. Which they then followed up with another win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. They have the chance to finish a 4-game road swing with a winning record, but in order for that to happen, they are going to have to roll into Cleveland and find a way to knock off the Cavaliers.Cleveland are sure to still be feeling the sting from their 106-92 loss to the Miami Heat on Monday night. As surprising as that defeat looks on paper, it really isn’t that big of a shocker when you think about it. The Heat are in the fight of their lives for a playoff spot, and you have to know that their players are going to get up for the chance to stick it to LeBron James. Cavaliers fans are definitely not sweating it, as their team has been one of the best in basketball for a couple of months now. Over the course of an 82-game season, you are going to have a few nights where things don’t go according to the script. The Cavs are still holding down 2nd spot in the East, and it’s beginning to look as though they are going to stay there till the end.

Consider This Before Placing Your Bet

Cleveland will be looking to this one as a good opportunity to bounce back from that loss to the Heat. These two teams have met once before this season, and it was the Cavs who won 110-88 on the road. I expect another dominant performance on Wednesday night, which means another comfortable victory for Cleveland.
