If you’re a college football betting enthusiast that is looking for some straight-up picks that look like sure-fire locks with the start of Week 2 just days away, then you should sit up right and hold on tight – or risk getting blown away by my five huge NCAA Football Week 2 SU picks!

That’s right collegiate gridiron gamers, I’m going all over the country to give you five sweet Week 2 picks that all look like literal locks.

NCAA Football Week 2 SU Odds & Picks

Let’s get started in the SEC.

What’s a guy to think when he sees a point spread like the Week 2 line that has No. 1 Alabama as a -36.5-point home favorite against Arkansas State? He’s supposed to think how much of a lock the SU outcome is, that’s what. If you’re looking for a straight-up winner, then you’ve got to know that there is no way on earth that Alabama loses at home to Arkansas State. It’s nice that Arkansas State put 48 points on the board in their Week 1 win over Southeast Mississippi, but Alabama thrashed Louisville 51-14 in their opener while getting a great glimpse. Even if they don’t cover the chalk as five touchdown-plus home favorites, there’s no way Alabama loses this contest.

No. 9 Penn State is a 7.5-point road favorite at Pittsburgh.

You might be wondering why I have Penn State as one of my Week 2 SU picks after they nearly pulled off a major choke job in their opener before narrowly squeaking past Appalachian State 45-38 in overtime. Well, it’s because the Nittany Lions have more overall roster talent and they are simply the better team in all three phases of the game. After losing at Pitt 42-39 in 2016 when this series was resumed for the first time since they last played in 2000, the Nittany Lions spanked Pitt 33-14 at home last season. I expecting the Nittany Lions to be locked in and focused after their Week 1 scare and now, Pitt is going to pay for that near lapse.

No. 6 Wisconsin is a 34.5-point home favorite against New Mexico.

Are the Badgers a safe betting pick to win in NCAA Football Week 2?

I’ve got sixth-ranked Wisconsin as one of my four CFP semifinalists this year…that’s how highly I think of head coach Paul Chryst and the job he’s done at Wisconsin. The Badgers have an experienced quarterback that has improved each year, a superstar running back that finished fifth in the Heisman voting a year ago as a true freshman – and a lockdown defense that has been one of the best in the nation for the last three seasons. New Mexico beat tiny Incarnate Word 62-30 in their opener, but this is the same team that lost seven straight to close out 2017. Penn State wins!

No. 11 Notre Dame is a 34.5-point home favorite against Ball State.

11th-ranked Notre Dame looked really solid on both sides of the ball in their 24-17 week 1 win over Michigan that wasn’t as close as the score indicates. The Fighting Irish have won 10 of their last 12 games and they have the look of a legitimate playoff contender as much as any team can after one week. While Ball State took out Central Connecticut 42-6 in their opener, they don’t have nearly enough talent to take down a legitimate powerhouse. If you’re worried about the Irish covering the near, five-touchdown spread, take them as a straight up pick this week.

Last but not least, while I’m not real happy about seeing Urban Myer only get a three-game suspension, his fourth-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes are a lock to beat Rutgers when they host them this weekend. While Rutgers won their opener 35-7 over Texas Southern, the Scarlet Knights lost their final three games last season and got blown off the field in their 56-0 shutout loss at home against Ohio State. There’s no substitute for sheer talent and Ohio State’s got plenty of it.
