Analyzing the Best College Football Betting Week 5 ATS Picks

Connecticut at BYU (-17.5)

The Cougars are a mad bunch right now after suffering an embarrassing shutout loss to Michigan last week, which translates to bad news for Connecticut. A big bounce-back win plus cover should thus be in the offing here for BYU.

MISSISSIPPI STATE (+6.5) at Texas AM

Dak Prescott and the Bulldogs are able to take care of things on the ground and in the air, while the Aggies don’t know how to run the ball. The ground advantage should allow Mississippi State to keep this one close, if not earn them the win altogether.

Alabama at GEORGIA (-2.5)

Nick Chubb vs. Derrick Henry. Winner: Chubb! Grayson Lambert vs. Whoever plays at QB for Alabama. Winner: Lambert! Home advantage vs. Road Fright. Winner: Home Advantage! Final Tally: Georgia 3, Alabama 0. Conclusion: Georgia covers the 2.5 points!

OLE MISS (-7) at Florida

The Rebels were on rest last week after an exhausting win in Alabama in Week 3. Expect the Rebels to fire on all cylinders in this game en route to the typical big wins we’ve seen them deliver this season.

TEXAS TECH (+17) at Baylor

After giving the Horned Frogs an upset scare last week and piling that many points, I totally like the underrated Red Raiders sticking it out to Baylor and taking this game all the way down to the wire to cover the spread.

ARIZONA STATE (+14) at Ucla

UCLA may be good, but there’s no way the Sun Devils will be giving this many points, not when they’ll be looking to do their best in this rivalry game and at least come out of LA with their heads held high.

OREGON (-7) at Colorado

BLOWOUT ALERT! The Ducks have owned the Buffaloes for as long as I can remember in recent history, and that is not going to change just because Oregon had one really bad day against the Utes. FYI, the Ducks are 5-0 SU/ATS in their last 5 meetings against Colorado.

Arkansas at TENNESSEE (-6.5)

Arkansas’ defense won’t be able to stop Tennessee’s offense, and the Razorbacks don’t have the firepower to go toe-to-toe with the Vols in a shootout affair. Give me Tennessee with the points.

Florida State at WAKE FOREST (+19)

The Seminoles are good, but not that good to beat Wake Forest by three touchdowns.

Notre Dame at CLEMSON (-1.5)

I do really like how Notre Dame have held their own despite suffering several injuries, including that of QB Malik Zaire. Unfortunately, Clemson means real business and no amount of CJ Prosise’s running game or DeShone Kizer’s Hail Marys will be bailing out the Fighting Irish from the impending defeat to Deshaun Watson and his impeccable Tigers. Picks Guide: The teams picked to win the ATS in our college football lines have been specially CAPITALIZED for distinction, and have the corresponding points spread next to them in brackets. For example: CLEMSON (-1.5) is the ATS pick in the Notre Dame at Clemson clash.
