Arizona Cardinals 2019 Season Win/Loss Total Odds & Predictions

Arizona Cardinals Season Win/Loss Total Odds & Predictions

Written by on May 16, 2019

The Arizona Cardinals might have won all of three games in the first and only season under now, former head coach Steve Wilks, but everything is now completely different for the Cards heading into the upcoming 2019 campaign.

By now, everyone knows the Cards made former Texas Tech leader Kliff Kingsbury their new head coach and that he subsequently drafted former Oklahoma Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Kyler Murray with the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. However, what many casual football fans may not know is that Arizona also had a solid draft after selecting Murray and more importantly, the Cards pulled off what looks like a series of smart offseason free agent additions.

Arizona added aging future hall of Fame linebacker Terrell Suggs, tight end Charles Clay, linebackers Brooks Reed and Jordan Hicks as well as a trio of veteran cornerbacks in Tramaine Brock, Josh Shaw and Robert Alford.

Arizona won three games a year ago, with two of those victories coming on the road at San Francisco in Week 5 and Green Bay in Week 13. The Cards also beat the Niners at home in Week 8 to complete the regular season sweep over their NFC West division rivals.

Now, the new-look Cards will look to take the first step in their rebuild and many believe they could surprise in 2019. Better yet, thanks to my expert NFL lines analysis, you’re going to find out just how many games Arizona is going to win in 2019. Let’s get started.

Arizona Cardinals 2019 Season Win/Loss Total Odds & Predictions

Week 1 vs. Detroit Lions

The Lions were borderline awful in winning just six games in head coach Matt Patricia’s first season and I’m just not expecting them to be much better in 2019 than they were a year ago. I like Murray and the new-look Cards to get the win in Week 1. 1-0.

Week 2 at Baltimore

Sure, the Ravens have a young and inexperienced new starter in Lamar Jackson, but Baltimore’s stupendous defense will get after Murray in this one to hold it down at home. Loss. 1-1

Week 3 vs. Carolina

Carolina underachieved in a big way by going 7-9 last season, but I’m expecting a big ass bounce back campaign from Cam Newton and company. The Panthers get the road win in Week 3. Loss. 1-2.

Week 4 vs. Seattle

Well, the man Murray is most compared to, Seattle’s Russell Wilson, is going to show the young signal-caller how the position is really played in this one! Seattle wins. 1-3.

Week 5 at Cincinnati

Cincinnati has moved on from longtime head coach Marvin Lewis to former Rams quarterbacks coach Zac Taylor, but I just have no faith in this organization whatsoever. Murray outplays counterpart Andy Dalton to lead the Cards to their first road win of 2019! 2-3.

Week 6 vs. Atlanta

The Cards and Falcons will both put some points on the board in this one, but Atlanta is the better defensive team in this one by far. Loss. 2-4.

Week 7 at NY Giants

I’m thinking Murray outplays Eli manning in this contest, but the G-Men get the win because of superstar running back Saquon Barkley! Loss. 2-5.

Week 8 at New Orleans

Another short-ish quarterback will be teaching Murray a lesson in this one as Drew Brees stars to lead the Saints to the easy W. 2-6.

Week 9 vs. San Francisco

Murray outplays Jimmy G or whoever is under center for the Niners in this contest to make it three straight wins over the Niners! Win 3-6.

Week 10 at Tampa Bay

I’m thinking Tampa Bay’s foolishness (Hello Jameis Winston?) is over now that no-nonsense quarterback whisperer Bruce Arians has taken over for the completely overmatched Dirk Koetter. The Buccaneers win a nail-biter! Loss. 3-7.

Week 11 at San Francisco

Simply put, with Jimmy Garroppolo back under center in this one, the Niners take care of business at home to snap a three-game skid against the Cards. Loss. 3-8.

Week 12 BYE

Week 13 vs. LA Rams

After a week off, Arizona loss at home to a far superior Rams team that has Super Bowl aspirations. Loss. 3-9.

Week 14 vs. Pittsburgh

The Steelers might have lost AB and Le’Veon Bell, but they’ve still got Big Ben – and the superior team in this Week 14 matchup. Loss. 3-10.

Week 15 vs. Cleveland

I know everyone is expecting Cleveland to be really good in 2019 after their series of offseason additions, but I’m thinking Murray outplays Oklahoma predecessor Baker Mayfield to lead the Cards to the win in a shootout! Win. 4-10.

Week 16 at Seattle

There’s now way Arizona marches into Seattle in Week 16 and gets the insane road upset! Loss. 4-11.

Week 17 at LA Rams

I’ll just repeat the previous sentence except I’ll insert the .A. Rams here instead of Seattle! Loss. 4-12.
