A Closer Look At The Highlights Trio Of Top NFL ATS Picks For Week 7

Buffalo at Miami

When: Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 1:00 PM ET Where: Paul Brown Stadium
NFL Odds: Buffalo -3

Analysis:
The Miami Dolphins may have recorded a shocking 30-15 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, I just don’t see the Fins doing the same to the red-hot Buffalo Bills in their Week 7 AFC East divisional matchup. The Bills won their fourth straight game by man-handling San Francisco 45-16 on Sunday and are playing with a chip on their collective shoulders on both sides of the ball.

Buffalo averages almost eight points per game more than Miami while also giving up nearly five fewer points per contest defensively. More importantly, the Bills know this is a game they cannot afford to lose if they want to get back in the postseason and challenge for a spot in Super Bowl 51. Buffalo is 5-1 SU and ATS in their last six games against Miami and 4-1 ATS in their last five games the Dolphins. Veteran running back LeSean McCoy is hitting his stride and the Bills have the superior playmakers at the skill positions.

My Pick:  Buffalo -3 Points

Minnesota -2.5 at Philadelphia

When: Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 1:00 PM ET
Where: Paul Brown Stadium
NFL Odds: Minnesota -3

Analysis:
The Minnesota Vikings are the easy pick to stay unbeaten by taking down a Philadelphia Eagles team that is clearly struggling right now after starting the season off by winning their first three games. Minnesota has been downright scary in limiting their opponents to just 12.6 points per game defensively and should be able to harass Philly’s young signal-caller Carson Wentz into a couple of turnovers, although by now, everyone knows he really special.

Minnesota has won seven of their last eight road games outright and is simply better than Philadelphia in every way right now. I’ve seen absolutely nothing to make me believe the Vikes are losing anytime soon. Back Minnesota to get the outright win and ATS cover.

My Pick: Minnesota -3 Points

Oakland at Jacksonville

When: Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 1:00 PM ET
Where: Paul Brown Stadium
NFL Odds: Jacksonville -1.5

Analysis:
Derek Carr and the Raiders got smacked around in their humbling 26-10 loss to Kansas City on Sunday, but that’s one of the main reasons why I like Oakland to get back in the win column against Jacksonville in Week 7. I know the Jags have won two straight, but both wins came by less than three points and against a pair of mediocre teams in Indianapolis and Chicago.

Jacksonville has the slightly better statistical defense, but Oakland has the more potent offense and the Jags actually allow more points per game than they are averaging this season. The Raiders are 3-0 SU and ATS on the road this season and generally plays a better brand of football on the road than at home. While Carr and company have gone 1-5 ATS in their last six games against Jacksonville, I like the Raiders to bounce back nicely in this affair.

My Pick: Oakland +1.5 Points
