In his fourth play as a New York Jet, Aaron Rodgers suffered an Achilles tendon tear that will send him to the sidelines for the season. The Jets rallied under backup Zach Wilson to get the victory, but on Sunday, NYJ travels to Dallas to take on the Cowboys.
Will Wilson show he has what it takes to keep the Jets a playoff contender? Or will Micah Parsons and the Boys’ defense dominate the Rodgers-less Jets?

Why Bet on NYJ versus Dallas
Zach Wilson played well enough for the Jets to overcome Aaron Rodgers’ injury but the real story in the Jets’ win against the Buffalo Bills this past Monday night was NYJ’s defense.
The J-E-T-S D sacked Josh Allen 5 times and picked off Buffalo’s QB 3 times. The defense also forced 2 Allen fumbles, recovered 1 fumble, and held Buffalo to less than 100 rushing yards.
Wilson may not have to do much if the defense is on point agianst Prescott and the Cowboys’ offense. Also, because NYJ’s defense is so good, the Jets will always be in the game as long as the offense doesn’t shoot itself in the foot.

Why Bet on Dallas versus NYJ
Like the Jets, Dallas has a fantastic defense. The stat sheet shows Dak Prescott and the Boys’ offense played great in the 40-0 victory over the New York Giants, but it was Dallas’ D that carried the Cowboys.
Micah Parsons and the Dallas D picked off Daniel Jones twice. More impressively, the Boys sacked Jones 7 times and held Saquon Barkley to just 51 rushing yards.
On Sunday, Parsons and the defense get to face Zach Wilson, the Jets’ backup quarterback. Things shouldn’t go well for the Jets’ offense.

New York Jets at Dallas Cowboys Final Betting Prediction
Although the Cowboys routed the Giants, the victory had little to do with Prescott and the offense. In fact, Dak wasn’t sharp when completing 13-of-24 for just 143 yards.
On Sunday, Wilson faces a great defense, but Prescott faces a better defense. Nobody can argue that what the Jets defense did to Josh Allen impresses more than what the Cowboys D did to Daniel Jones.
The reason nobody can argue that fact is because 13 of Dallas’ first 16 points versus the G-Men came via a blocked field goal that turned into a TD and a 22-yard interception return for a touchdown.
The Giants never got a chance to get Saquon going. The Jets will be more conservative on offense and lean on their defense. NYJ will have a chance to win this in the fourth quarter. So Jets +9 is the pick.
