Pittsburgh Steelers 2019 NFL Season Win/Loss Total Odds & Betting Prediction

Written by on May 29, 2019

One year after going an impressive 13-3 and narrowly losing to Jacksonville in the divisional round, the Pittsburgh Steelers took a step backwards in winning a more modest nine games and never reaching the playoffs. Now, as they get set for the upcoming 2019 regular season, the Steelers are hoping to get back to being a legitimate Super Bowl contender, but things will be a lot different with Pittsburgh jettisoning Pro Bowl running back Le’Veon Bell after he sat out the entire 2019 season while also parting ways with disgruntled Pro Bowl wide receiver Antonio Brown.

If you’re an NFL fan and betting enthusiast that wants to know just how many games the Steelers are going to win this coming season so you could potentially cash in on the value-packed NFL Win Total Odds, then you’ve come to the right place! Thanks to the expert NFL predictions that you’re about to get on each and every game on Pittsburgh’s upcoming 2019 docket, you’re going to have a great idea of just how many games the Steelers will win this coming season.

The Steelers finished the 2018 season ranked an encouraging seventh in scoring (26.8 ppg) while also ranking a modest 17th in points allowed (22.5 ppg). Without Bell’s services, Pittsburgh ranked a discouraging 31st in rushing.

To address their offseason needs, Pittsburgh drafted Michigan linebacker Devin Bush with the 10t overall pick before adding Toledo wide receiver Diontae Johnson and Michigan State cornerback Justin Layne, both in the third round. The Steelers also added former Rams linebacker Mark Barron, former Jaguars wideout Donte Moncrief and former Chiefs wide receiver Steven Nelson in free agency.

Pittsburgh Steelers 2019 NFL Season Win/Loss Total Odds & Betting Prediction

Week 1 at New England

Tom Brady has bested Ben Roethlisberger 10 times in 14 career meetings. This regular season opener will make it 11 wins for Tom terrific. Loss. 0-1.

Week 2 vs Seattle

The Steelers might be playing at home, but I think Seattle wins this matchup based on the fact that the Seahawks have the better defense – and quarterback! Loss. 0-2.

Week 3 at San Francisco

After dropping their first two games of the season Pittsburgh will be desperate and they’re going to make the rebuilding Niners pay in this Week 3 inter-conference clash. Win. 1-2.

Week 4 vs Cincinnati

With Vontaze Burfict gone, who’s going to deliver all those cheap shots for Cincinnati? Pittsburgh takes care of business at home to bag their third straight win over Cincinnati. Win. 2-2.

Week 5 vs Baltimore

The Steelers and Ravens split their two regular season meetings a year ago with both teams winning on the road. This time around, these two rivals split again with the home team winning each time. Win. 3-2.

Week 6 at LA Chargers

The Steelers were on the wrong end of a narrow 33-30 home loss to the Bolts in Week 13 a year ago and I believe Pittsburgh is going down again to a Chargers team with legitimate Super Bowl hopes – again. Loss. 3-3.

Week 7 BYE

Week 8 vs Miami

I’m expecting the Steelers to almost literally blow the Dolphins out of the water in this Week 8 mismatch. Win. 4-3.

Week 9 vs Indianapolis

While Andrew Luck is definitely better than Big Ben these days, I like Pittsburgh to take care of business to get the hard-fought win at home. Win. 5-3.

Week 10 vs LA Rams

The Steelers just don’t have enough offensive firepower to beat Los Angeles, even at home. Loss. 5-4.

Week 11 at Cleveland

After recording a 21-21 tie against the Steelers in their regular season opener a year ago, the revamped Browns take out their AFC North rivals at home in a thriller. Loss. 5-5.

Week 12 at Cincinnati

I’m thinking everyone should be breaking out their brooms for this Week 12 rematch. Win. 6-5.

Week 13 vs Cleveland

Pittsburgh gets the huge home win as part of a split against the new-look Browns. Win. 7-5.

Week 14 at Arizona

The Cards will be a lot better in 2019 with Kliff Kingsbury and Kyler Murray now forming the foundation for success in the desert. Unfortunately, Arizona still won’t be good enough to beat what I expect to be a focused Steelers team in this Week 14 matchup as Pittsburgh looks to improve its playoff hopes. Win, 8-5.

Week 15 vs Buffalo

Now, back at home with their playoff lives on the line, the Steelers spank the Bills to move a step closer to recording double-digit victories. Win. 9-5.

Week 16 at NY Jets

I like Sam Darnold a lot and I believe the Jets are definitely heading in the right direction. Unfortunately, it won’t be enough to help New York win this contest. Win. 10-5.

Week 17 at Baltimore

Simply put, I like Baltimore to get the win here as part of what looks like a regular season split against their longtime division rivals. Loss. 10-6.

I’ve got the Steelers recording 10 wins to narrowly top their 2019 win total odds, but it’s going to be quite close. Losing two players the caliber of Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown means the Steelers could be set to take a step backwards in 2019. Still, I’m thinking the combination of Ben Roethlisberger and Mike Tomlin will be enough to help the Steelers reach the double-digit win mark this coming season.
