Reasons to back Green Bay to win the NFC Championship and the Super Bowl

Before jumping on Green Bay for failing to win the NFC last season, we can’t forget that home field didn’t mean much in 2021. We were still in the middle of a pandemic, which is why Green Bay played in front of few fans.

This NFL Playoffs, there won’t be an open seat at Lambeau Field. Home field should mean a lot once the Packers start playing.

Not only does Green Bay have home field, but they get a week of rest. Players like running back Aaron Jones and linebacker De’Vondre Campbell will be one-hundred percent.

Also, Aaron Rodgers is playing with a chip on his shoulder. The future hall of fame quarterback has gotten blowback for not accepting the vaccine. In typical AR fashion, Rodgers isn’t giving in. Instead, he’s given as much as he’s gotten.

Reasons to go against Green Bay to win the NFC Championship and the Super Bowl

Although a Super Bowl winner, Rodgers hasn’t had a ton of playoff success. Aaron doesn’t always bring it during the postseason. He’s more Drew Brees than Tom Brady or Ben Roethlisberger.

Also, the Packers’ defense struggled in the second half of 2021. That could be due to injuries, but it could also be because the defense just isn’t as good as advertised.

In addition, this is just Matt LaFleur’s second foray into the post season. LaFleur made some mistakes in last season’s playoffs. Will the head coach make mistakes in the 2022 NFL Playoffs?

Final Green Bay Analysis: Are the Packers a good bet to win their conference and Super Bowl 56?

There are reasons to dislike Green Bay for sure. But there’s also a major reason to like the Packers. Of every team that made the playoffs, by far, Green Bay has been the most consistent.

The Packers can rush the ball or pass. The defense plays a bend but don’t break that led to 13 wins. Home field should be a huge factor this season, and Aaron Rodgers might be more motivated than he’s ever been to prove his doubters wrong.

Almost as important? Outside of the San Francisco 49ers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, is there really a team that can hang with the Packers? The Cowboys haven’t proven they’re a Super Bowl team. Matthew Stafford and the Rams have looked terrible in recent games.

Kyler Murray and the Cardinals are unproven. So are Jalen Hurts and the Eagles. At Lambeau, Green Bay can beat the 49ers and Buccaneers, which means the Packers offers fair odds to take the NFC and win the Lombardi Trophy.

Green Bay to win the NFC: Yes

Green Bay to win the Super Bowl: Yes
