Winning NFL regular Season Picks for the Seattle Seahawks

Written by on June 20, 2016

The NFL regular season is almost upon us, and you’d probably want to know if the perennially powerful Seattle Seahawks can get back to being both, a legitimate Super Bowl title contender and one of the best NFL betting picks in 2016. Having that in mind, we have created an expert analysis and futures bet predictions you’re about to get on six 2016 Seattle Seahawks (10-6 SU, 8-7-1 ATS) regular season games, you’re going to have a great chance to cash in a whopping half-dozen times!

Winning NFL regular Season Picks for the Seattle Seahawks

Week 1

Miami Dolphins at Seattle (-8.5, 44.5) Analysis: It may surprise you that Seattle has lost two straight and five of their last six meetings against Miami while failing to cover the spread in each SU loss, but I like Russell Wilson and company to beat the Fins handily in their 2016 regular season opener. The Seahawks are 3-1 SU and ATS in their last four home games while Miami lost four of its final five road games in 2015 while failing to cover the spread in each loss. More importantly, the Seahawks have a superstar at quarterback in Russell Wilson while Miami will counter with career underachiever Ryan Tannehill. Seattle is the superior team in all facets and will win this Week 1 opener by double digits. The Pick: Seattle 31 Miami 21

Week 10

Seattle at New England Patriots (-2) Analysis: The Seahawks have lost three of their last four meetings against New England dating back to 2004, including their heartbreaking 28-24 Super Bowl 49 loss in February of 2015.  However, since Russell Wilson became Seattle’s starting quarterback in 2012, the Seahawks have split their two regular season meetings. Seattle has gone 6-1 SU and 4-3 ATS over their last seven road games and should have plenty of motivation after their crushing Super Bowl loss against the Pats almost two years ago. I like Settle to cover by recording the upset road win. The Pick: Seattle 31 New England 30

Week 11

Philadelphia Eagles at Seattle (-9) Analysis: The Seahawks have beaten Philly two straight times since 2011 and four of five overall dating back to 20005. With the Birds in a bit of a rebuilding mode under first-time head coach Doug Pederson and waiting on the arrival of No. 2 overall draft pick Carson Wentz, the Eagles should be easy picking for a Seattle team with legitimate Super Bowl hopes. While Philly won three of their final four road games a yea ago, I’m going with the Seattle Seahawks to get the double-digit win as they look to gain momentum down the stretch run of the 2016 regular season. The Pick: Seattle 30 Philadelphia 20

Week 12

Seattle (-5) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Analysis: I think the Tampa Bay hit a home run by drafting now, second-year quarterback Jameis Winston, but the Buccaneers are a young team and will have a first-time head coach in 2016 as they change directions under former offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter. Tampa Bay lost their final two home games last season and three of five while going 2-3 ATS along the way. More importantly, Tampa Bay ranked 26th in points allowed and still have issues they need to address on the defensive side of the ball. The Bucs will fall at home in this Week 12 NFC matchup. The Pick: Seattle 31 Tampa Bay 24

Week 14

Seattle at Green Bay Packers (-2) Analysis: Prior to losing to the Packers 27-17 last season as a 3.5-point road dog, Seattle had won three straight against the Packers, albeit, all at home and one of them ending in a now infamous controversy. Still, I like the Seahawks to deliver a message in this Week 14 matchup that all roads to the Super Bowl, at least in the NFC, will go through them in 2016. The Pick: Seattle 27 Green Bay 24

Week 16

Arizona Cardinals at Seattle (-3.5) Analysis: Arizona has been one of the top Super Bowl contenders in the NFC for the last couple of seasons, but the Cardinals have the toughest time beating Seattle as proven by their humbling 36-6 home loss against the Seahawks last season. Seattle has won three of the last four meetings and five of seven overall dating back to 2012 when Russell Wilson became the Seahawks’ starter and I like them to get the big, Week 16 home win and ATS cover as my final NFL betting picks selection. The Pick: Seattle 31 Arizona 21
