The NFL is already back folks! Teams report to training camp this week, and the first exhibition game is only two weeks from Sunday. Did the summer fly by or what? Previously we have looked at some games to bet in Week 1. We’ve chosen the top three NFL Week 2 betting picks, each with their respective odds.

Top NFL Week 2 Odds, Picks & Predictions

Houston Texans at Cincinnati Bengals

When: Thursday, Sept. 14, 8:25 PM ET Where: Paul Brown Stadium, Cincinnati TV: NFL Network Radio: KILT 610AM (Houston) / SPN 1530 (Cincinnati) NFL Week 2 Odds: Bengals -3 It’s really the first Thursday night game of the season. Yes, the Patriots and Chiefs open the 2017 season at Gillette Stadium on Thursday, but those teams have all offseason to prepare for that. These two will have a quick turnaround from Week 1 and one team could already find itself in a 0-2 hole. Cincinnati visited Houston in Week 16 last year and the Texans won 12-10 to clinch the AFC South Division for the second year in a row. You may remember that Houston starting QB Brock Osweiler was benched for the game – that really was the end for him in Houston. Now he’s in Cleveland. Tom Savage threw for 176 yards in his first career start. Cincinnati kicker Randy Bullock missed a 43-yard winning kick as time expired. A 24-yard touchdown run by Alfred Blue put the Texans on top with about 9 minutes left, but the extra point was blocked to leave Houston up 12-10. Bengals QB Andy Dalton finished with 268 yards passing with a touchdown and aninterception.

New England Patriots at New Orleans Saints

When: Sunday, Sept. 17, 1 PM ET Where: Mercedes-Benz Superdome, New Orleans TV: CBS Radio: 98.5 The Sports Hub (New England) / 870 AM,105.3 FM (New Orleans) Stream Option: NFL Live NFL Week 2 Odds: Patriots -5.5 New England will be on extra rest after hosting Kansas City in Week 1, while the Saints are on a short week as they visit Minnesota in Week 1 on Monday night. This could be the last time that future Hall of Fame quarterbacks Tom Brady and Drew Brees square off – in fact, it probably will be. Brady is going to retire with the most wins in NFL history, while Brees is likely to hold just about every major passing record. Of course the Pats and Saints made a big trade this offseason. The Saints sent their leading receiver, Brandin Cooks, to New England for the Pats’ first-round pick this year. The Patriots also traded a third- round pick (No. 103) to New Orleans and got the Saints’ fourth-round pick (No. 118). The emergence of 2016 breakout rookie Michael Thomas also helped make Cooks expendable even though he had back-to-back 1,100-yard seasons. Cooks had a total of 17 touchdown catches over the past two years and two of the four longest receptions in the NFL last year (98 yards and 87 yards).

Are the Dolphins a safe NFL Week 2 bet against the Chargers in?

Miami Dolphins at LA Chargers

When: Sunday, Sept. 17, 4:05 PM ET Where: StubHub Center, LA TV: CBS Radio: AM 560 WQAM (Miami) / KFI AM-640 (LA) Stream Option: NFL Live NFL Week 2 Odds: Chargers -1 It’s the Chargers’ first game in their return to the City of Los Angeles and they will play at the 30,000-seat StubHub Center, home of the LA Galaxy soccer team, for the rest of the decade until the stadium they and the Rams will share is built. The Bolts could have a high-powered offense if first-round rookie WR Mike Williams is healthy. Williams, the former Clemson star, sat out organized team activities and minicamp with a disc herniation in his lower back. Head coach Anthony Lynn is hopeful Williams will be healthy for the start of training camp, but it will likely take some time for Williams to get up to speed mentally and physically. He’s a perfect fit for what Philip Rivers likes to do in the vertical game and in the red zone. Los Angeles hosted Miami in Week 10 last year and lost 31-24. Fins LB Kiko Alonso deked QB Philip Rivers into thinking he was going to cover a slot receiver, then broke off, jumped in front of Tyrell Williams for the interception and outraced everyone 60 yards to the end zone with 1:01 left for the win. The Dolphins intercepted Rivers four times in a 13-minute span in the fourth quarter.

Expert NFL Week 2 Predictions

I like the Bengals against Houston, although I’d buy down the spread to 2.5. New England has a double advantage over the Saints with a Week 1 Thursday game and the Saints having to play on a Monday. Give the points there and I expect a big game from Cooks. I believe the Chargers are much better thanpeople think and they will actually have a very good home-field advantage. Take the Bolts over the Fins.
