The window of opportunity for the teams sitting below the playoff line on both conferences is closing rather quickly. With each team now just having 3 games to play, that window might well be slammed shut this coming weekend. It’s a bit of a bonus weekend for football fans, as we get an extra day of action to enjoy. Besides the usual game days, we have a pair of games on Saturday, both of which feature teams who look destined to be heading to the playoffs. We also have a solid slate of Sunday games, too, so plenty of games to choose from when it comes time to wager. With that in mind, let’s take a look at our O/U picks for Week 15 so you can continue betting against their NFL odds.
Week 15 O/U Picks for the 2020 Season | NFL Betting
Detroit Lions at Tennessee Titans (OVER 51 ½)
This is a game between a pair of teams heading in totally different direction right now. The Tennessee Titans are in possession of the top spot in the AFC South and heading to the postseason. The Detroit Lions have fired their head coach and are probably going to blow things up when the new coaching staff comes in and takes over. There are a lot of players playing for jobs next season, which might include QB Matthew Stafford, who is once again putting up big numbers on a poor team. It has been Stafford’s work that has seen the Lions have 5 of their last 7 games go OVER the point total. It has been the same for Tennessee, with 9 of their last 12 games going OVER. I think we get more of the same here.
Chicago Bears at Minnesota Vikings (OVER 47)
These are a pair of teams with some decisions to make in the offseason. The Chicago Bears are stuck with a bit of a QB issue, although Mitch Trubisky has looked better over the last couple of weeks. How he plays over the final 3 weeks could determine whether he stays or goes. It’s a similar story for the Minnesota Vikings, a team that has been a contender for a few seasons, but who have now seen their window of opportunity slam shut. The Bears tend to trend towards the under, but that all changes when they face divisional opponents, with 4 of the last 5 of those meetings going OVER. The Vikings tend to see the OVER hit in home games, with 7 of the last 8 games in their own building going that route.
Seattle Seahawks at Washington Football Team (OVER 44 ½)
Throughout the season, we have all been looking at the NFC East and thinking that none of the 4 teams there really deserved a playoff spot. That is beginning to change, though, as Washington have suddenly come to life with Alex Smith back under center after returning from a horrific injury. Washington has now won 4 in a row, including a win over the previously unbeaten Steelers, to take control of the division. They will get another stern test this weekend when they host the Seahawks. The under has been trending for Seattle, but in their last 6 visits to Washington, they have seen the OVER hit 4 times. I like the OVER again here.
