2021-2022 European League Seasons

  • When: August, 2021 – May, 2022

Serie A

  • Napoli and AC Milan remain atop Serie A Standings

After 11 matches, the only blemish on Napoli’s and AC Milan’s squad is a draw. Because both have dominated, AC and Napoli head into this week with 31 points.

Third-place squad Inter Milano has 24 points. Inter has a shot to make up ground on AC Milan. The two face-off on Sunday in Matchday 11’s most intriguing Serie A battle.

Inter Milano +122 vs AC Milan +190 – Serie A Matchday 11

  • When: Sunday, Nov. 7

The home team has won 4-of-5. The lone loss happened in a Champions League match versus Portuguese Liga squad Porto on Oct. 19.

Inter Milano is almost as hot as AC. Inter has won 3-of-4 with a draw. On Feb. 21 this year, Inter Milano dusted AC Milan 3-0. Although Inter won’t beat AC by so many goals in the rematch, the road favorite should still win.

Soccer Pick: Inter Milano

Bundesliga

  • Bayern and Dortmund putting daylight between them and their rivals

It took a few weeks, but the two best squads in the Bundesliga are now first and second on the German League Standings. With 25 points, Bayern is a single point ahead of Dortmund.

Dortmund has a 2-point lead over Freiburg in third. Freiburg faces Bayern this weekend on the road, which means Dortmund could, should they win their Matchday 11 contest, increase their lead for second.

Bayern hasn’t dominated. Gladbach upset Bayern 5-0 on Oct. 27. So the closer Dortmund can stay to Bayern while Erling Haaland is out, the better their chances of overtaking their rivals once Haaland returns.

Borussia Dortmund +210 vs RB Leipzig +107 – Bundesliga Matchday 11

  • When: Saturday, Nov. 6

Dortmund has won 4-of-5. On May 13, Borussia dusted Leipzig 4-1. But although Dortmund appears to have Leipzig’s number, RBL goes into this the favorite because Haaland is out and Dortmund is the road team.

Leipzig has won 3-of-4. Haaland’s absence hasn’t caused any problems. That should change on Saturday. RB Leipzig is a much better team than the ones Borussia has beaten while Erling recovers from the injury.

Soccer Pick: RB Leipzig

La Liga Primer Division

  • Barca player Sergio Aguero heads to hospital for heart exam

Over the weekend, Barcelona’s tough season continued. During Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Alaves, Barcelona striker Sergio Aguero felt pain in his chest.

Aguero, one of Barca’s best players, went to the hospital for a heart exam. No word on whether Aguero is fit to play in Matchday 12.

Not only did Barcelona lose Aguero, but they also lost George Pique. Barcelona is starting to look like the walking wounded. Aguero and Pique join an injured crew that includes Sergi Roberto, Pedri, Ronald Araujo, Frenkie de Jong, Ansu Fati, Martin Braithwaite, and Ousmane Dembele.

Rayo Vallecano +1 ½ (-135) vs Real Madrid -1 ½ (+102) – La Liga Matchday 12

  • When: Saturday, Nov. 6

With 24 points, Real Madrid is tied with Sevilla for second-place. Real Sociedad is in first-place with 25 points.

Real should make up ground with a victory over Rayo Vallecano. RM has won 3-of-4 with a draw. The draw happened versus Osasuna on Oct. 27.

Rayo Vallecano heads into Matchday 11 after a 1-0 victory over Barcelona on Oct. 27. Vallecano played well to win the match.

But like what we wrote in our update, Barca is struggling through injury issues. Real Madrid can cover this handicap.

Soccer Pick: Real Madrid

English Premier League

  • Crystal Palace ends Man City’s Premier win streak and Nuno out at Tottenham

Crystal Palace ended Man City’s winning streak with a stunning 2-0 victory. The victory was Crystal’s second of the season.

Even though they lost, the Sky Blues have 20 points, which puts them in second-place behind league leader Chelsea with 25. Man City has plenty of time to overtake the rival Blues and grab first place in the Premier.

Tottenham shouldn’t come close to winning the Premier this season. Last week, the Hotspur said sayonara to Nuno Espirito Santo. Most believe former Inter Milano coach Antonio Conte is on deck.

If Conte does end up in Tottenham, expect the Hotspur to play well. Conte is one of the best managers Tottenham could hire.

Manchester City -136 vs Manchester United +310 – Premier League Matchweek 11

  • When: Saturday, Nov. 6

The Sky Blues and Red Devils throw down in what should be one of the most competitive soccer matches of the week.

Home squad United blasted Tottenham 5-0 in their last while the Sky Blues fell to Crystal Palace. So do we side with the Red Devils because they won their last? Or do we go with Man City to get back on the winning track?

The odds favor the road team. In most cases, we’d side with the home team at what looks like an overlay number. But Man U fell by 5 goals to Liverpool on Oct. 24. City wins.

Soccer Pick: Manchester City
