Top European Soccer Matches for This Weekend | Dec. 5th & 6th
- When: Saturday, Dec. 5 – Sunday, Dec. 6
Saturday, Dec. 5th Games
- Real Madrid +146 / Sevilla +161
In the lone head-to-head match this year, Real beat Sevilla 2-1. That game happened way back in January, though. Sevilla has rocked it recently with five straight wins. Although RM is tough to beat, the slight underdog is an attractive play.
Soccer Free Pick: Sevilla
- Valladolid +1 (+108) / Atletico Madrid -1 (-144)
In their last three, Valladolid has a couple of wins and a draw. Not only that, but the last head-to-head where Atletico beat Valladolid by more than a single goal happened back in 2014. The underdogs are getting a goal at above even money. That makes Valladolid the play.
Soccer Free Pick: Valladolid
- Barcelona -1 (-144) / Cadiz +1 (+108)
Barca is hot. They’ve scored four wins and a loss in their last five. The loss was a 1-0 defeat against Atletico Madrid. On Nov. 7, Atletico beat Cadiz 4-0 in a match. Barcelona could approach that winning margin on Saturday.
Soccer Free Pick: Barcelona
- Lazio -1 (-107) / Spezia +1 (-123)
Spezia is well behind Serie A leader AC Milan. But their recent form suggests they can hang with Lazio on Dec. 4. The underdogs drew 0-0 versus Atalanta on Nov. 21. In their last four, Spezia has a couple of draws and two wins. Take the goal is our advice.
Soccer Free Pick: Spezia
- Torino +1 ½ (-147) / Juventus -1 ½ (+110)
Juvy dominated Torino 4-1 in the last head-to-head match. Although that battle happened back in July, Torino hasn’t improved enough to make much of a difference in this. The underdogs tend to fall apart against the better teams in Serie A, like losing 2-4 when they faced Inter Milano on Nov. 22. Lay it.
Soccer Free Pick: Juventus
- Bologna +1 (+102) / Inter Milano -1 (-135)
Bologna is 2-1 SU in the last three head-to-head matches. Inter Milano is second on the Serie A Standings. They’ve got a 6 point lead over Bologna. So, the chalk should win this, but we’re getting a goal on a team that has had Inter’s number. Backing Bologna makes the most sense.
Soccer Free Pick: Bologna
- Monchengladbach -126 / Freiburg +287
It’s tough to go against the favorite here. Why? Freiburg has two draws and three losses in their last five. Gladbach is the pick.
Soccer Free Pick: Monchengladbach
- Dortmund -1 (+110) / Frankfurt +1 (-144)
One can easily make a case to back Frankfurt at +1. Dortmund lost straight up to Cologne in their last Bundesliga match and Frankfurt has drawn in four straight. But Dortmund destroyed Frankfurt 4-0 in the last head-to-head. It makes sense to lay the goal in this game.
Soccer Free Pick: Dortmund
- Leipzig +1 (-101) / Bayern -1 (-131)
Bayern has won their last couple of matches by a combined 6-2. They beat Salzburg in a Champions League game and Stuttgart in a Bundesliga match by 3-1 scores. Leipzig has hung with Bayern in the last two head-to-heads, though, drawing 1-1 and 0-0. The goal attracts.
Soccer Free Pick: Leipzig
Sunday, Dec. 6th Games
- Atalanta -112 / Udinese +264
Atalanta’s 2-0 win over Liverpool in a UCL match impressed. But the favorite hasn’t played as well in Serie A with a loss and two draws in their last three. Udinese has a shot to get to Atalanta here. We’ll take the overlay odds on the dog.
Soccer Free Pick: Udinese
