Why bet on Mexico versus the United States?

The Mexicans have lost their last couple of international friendly matches. On April 13, Spain beat Mexico 3-1. Then on June 12, Japan dominated Mexico 5-1.

But even though Mexico hasn’t played great in their last couple of matches, they played well enough in the three previous matches to warrant consideration versus the United States. On Feb. 20, Mexico beat Costa Rica 3-1.

Mexico and Costa Rica drew 0-0 in the rematch on June 23. Then on April 10, Mexico drew 0-0 with Slovakia. Mexico may not beat the U.S. on Thursday, but they have a chance to win on the handicap or force a draw.

Why bet on the United States vs Mexico?

The United States is the best women’s soccer team in the world and it’s not even close. The U.S. is 5-0 in their last 5 matches.

FIFA’s top ranked team beat France 2-0 on April 13. On June 10, the U.S. beat Portugal 1-0 then on June 13, the United States beat Jamaica 4-0 and then in their last match, the U.S. got past Nigeria 2-0.

Not only has the U.S. dominated but on Thursday they face a rival. Expect the United State’s to play their best.

Final Betting Prediction: USA vs Mexico

It’s true that La Tri doesn’t rank in the Top 20 and that the United States’ ranks first. But Mexico has decent enough soccer players to at least keep it close versus the U.S.

More importantly, this is an international friendly, and in most international friendly matches, the U.S. women’s team hasn’t tried to dominate. Only the victory over Jamaica shows a win by more than 2 goals.

Depending on the handicap, Mexico or the U.S. is the play. If the handicap is United States -2 ½, which it should be because the U.S. is so much better, consider backing Mexico. If the odds are U.S. -1 ½, go with the U.S. to cover the handicap.

Soccer Pick: Dependent on the handicap odds
