2018 German Grand Prix Odds & Predictions

Written by on July 17, 2018

Formula 1 is back at it this July 20 through July 22 with the German Grand Prix. So far this Formula 1 season, Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton have rocked it. The two drivers have combined for 7 of the 10 trophies. Are they locks this weekend? Formula 1 didn’t race the German Grand Prix in 2017. The last time it did take place, Hamilton took it. Will the Aussie take the title again? Will Vettel stand in his way? Or, will some underdog get it done? We take a look at the latest 2018 German Grand Prix odds.

See below for odds on the 2018 German Grand Prix
  • Lewis Hamilton                    +100
  • Sebastian Vettel                    +140
  • Valterri Bottas                       +580
  • Max Verstappen                    +750
  • Daniel Ricciardo                   +800
  • Kimi Raikkonen                    +800
  • Field                                           +5000
Odds makers are fairly certain that nobody outside of Hamilton, Vettel, Bottas, Verstappen, Ricciardo, or Raikkonen will win the 2018 German Grand Prix. That’s obvious because the field offers an enticing 5,000 to 1 odds. It would be nice to say that the MyBookie odds makers made a mistake, but the only driver to have finished in the Top 3 not listed above, not to win but to finish in the Top 3 in any Formula 1 race this year is Sergio Perez of Mexico. Perez finished third to Hamilton and Raikkonen in Azerbaijan. Super tough to see Perez racing better than that this weekend. The Field’s a throw out even though the odds say that they should be taken seriously. The real key to finding the winner of the German Grand Prix is to first make a big decision. Is Lewis Hamilton a lock? His last victory was in Le Castellat at the France Grand Prix. Verstappen won the Austrian Grand Prix. Vettel won the British Grand Prix. If you throw out Hamilton, things open up. I can’t do that, though. Lewis Hamilton’s won every 2 to 3 races this Formula 1 Season. He heads to Germany ready to rock a course he’s had excellent success over. Not only that, but Mercedes believes they’ve got the fastest car even though they’ve left plenty of points on the table. It pains me to take chalk, but in this case, it’s close to a lock that Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes take the chequered flag. 2018 German Grand Prix Betting Pick: Lewis Hamilton
