Let’s get started.

Top Boxing Betting Picks of the Week – August 13th Edition

August 16 at Tokyo, Japan

Ryosuke Iwasa (25-2) vs. T.J. Doheny (19-0)

Champion Ryosuke Iwasa and challenger T.J. Doheny will square off in a 12 round battle for Iwasa’s IBF junior featherweight title. 28-year-old Japan native Ryosuke Iwasa will make the second defense of his title, which he won in September 2017 in Osaka, Japan, when he stopped his compatriot Yukinori Oguni by knockout. he’s won six straight fights with four KOs along the way. The undefeated Doheny, an Irishman based out of Sydney, Australia stopped Mike Oliver (26-8-1, 8 KOs) by way of knockout in March. Prediction I’m going with the reigning champ here, seeing as how he’s won six straight and will be fighting in his native homeland of Japan. I know the 31-year-old Doheny is going to put up a great effort, but I’m going with Iwasa for the win via unanimous decision, since I don’t see their of these fighters getting knocked out. Boxing Betting Pick: Ryosuke Iwasa via Unanimous decision

August 18

Carl Frampton (25-1) vs. Luke Jackson (16-0)

  • At Belfast, Northern Ireland
31-year-old Carl Frampton and 26-year-old Luke Jackson will square off in a 12 round title bout for Frampton’s WBO interim featherweight title. Frampton has won two straight fights since suffering his only career loss in January of 2017. He comes into this title fight off a unanimous decision win over Nonito Donaire in April. He’s won 14 fights via KO and 11 by way of decision. Luke Jackson is unbeaten is 16 career fights and comes into this title bout off a knockout over Surachet Tongmala in April. Prediction I’m going to get right to the point with my pick on this bout by saying that there is no way that Carl Frampton loses this bout. Frampton is the more experienced and versatile fighter in this bout, plus he’s still hungry to be mentioned with the best fighters on the planet. I’m thinking Frampton win this one via unanimpus decision. Boxing Betting Pick: Carl Frampton via Unanimous Decision

Tyson Fury (26-0) vs. Francesco Pianeta (35-4-1)

British native Tyson Fury will make his second fight since 2015. he’s coming off a fourth round win over Sefer Seferi in June in which his opponent failed to come out for the fifth round. The 29-year-old Fury has 19 KO wins in his career and seven via decision. Francesco Pianeta has won four of his last six fights, but comes into this matchup off a IBO International heavyweight title unanimous decision loss to Petar Milas in June. He’s got 21 KO wins in his career and seven via decision while suffering three KO losses and one decision defeat. Prediction Tyson Fury is the easy pick to beat up  Francesco Pianeta mostly because the latter is a fighter that often loses focus and one who’s desire has also been called into question on occasion. Tyson Fury would like nothing better than to get back in the mix for a world title fight and that means taking another step by dispatching a fighter that he should. Fury will win via sixth round KO in this one! Boxing Betting Pick: Tyson Fury Via Sixth Round KO
