Heather Hardy vs. Shelly Vincent, rematch, 10 rounds, for vacant WBO women’s featherweight title
Two years ago, Heather Hardy (21-0, 4 KOs) and Shelly Vincent (23-1, 1 knockout) staged one of the very best matches in all of 2016 when they brawled for 10 action-packed rounds that saw Hardy claim a controversial majority decision victory. More importantly, the pair showed they have no love for one another.
The 36-year-old Hardy, hails from Brooklyn. She stands 5’5” and has never been beaten in the squared circle. She comes into this bout off a unanimous decision win over Iranda Paola in April. 39-year-old Shelly Vincent hails from Rhode Island and stand 5’1”. Since her loss to Hardy, she’s won five straight fights including a majority decision win over Calixta Silgado in July.
I’m going with Heather Hardy to get the win in this rematch, simply because I believe she’s the bigger stronger and more skilled fighter of the two. Hardy, who also competes as a MMA fighter in Bellator, is simply a bit better than Shelly Vincent – at everything.
Boxing Betting Pick: Heather Hardy via Unanimous Decision
Alberto Machado vs. Yuandale Evans, 12 rounds, for Machado’s WBA “regular” junior lightweight title
Alberto Machado (20-0, 16 KOs) stands 5’10” and has a 72-inch reach. The 28-year-old from Puerto Rico comes into this bout off a unanimous decision win over Rafael Mensah in July. 29-year-old Yuandale Evans (20-1, 14 KOs) hails from Cleveland Ohio and was once expected to be a top title contender if not champion – until getting stopped by Javier Fortuna in two minutes back in 2012. After that loss, Evans quit boxing for three years. Since coming back, he’s won four straight bouts including a win over the previously unbeaten Luis Rosa.
While Yuandale Evans is talented and was once expected to be great, I like the unbeaten Alberto Machado in this bout simply because he’s been able to problem solve his way to victory 21 times without a loss. Machado has excellent punching power and both, excellent speed and technical skills. This one could be super interesting, but I’m going with Machado via unanimous decision.

Sergiy Derevyanchenko vs. Daniel Jacobs, 12 rounds

31-year-old Brooklyn native Daniel Jacobs (34-2, 29KOs) stands 5’11½” and has a 73-inch reach. Jacobs has won two straight fights and comes into this bout off a unanimous decision win over Maciej Sulecki in April since suffering a tough unanimous decision loss against Triple G back in March of 2017. 32-year-old Ukraine native Sergiy Derevyanchenko (12-0, 10 KOs) stands 5’9” with a 67-inch reach. He comes into this bout off a sixth round win (retirement) over Dashon Johnson in March.
While Derevyanchenko has won six straight fights via stoppage and has a bunch of punching power, he’s yet to face a fighter of the caliber that Daniel Jacobs is. Hell, there are only a couple of middleweight’s on the planet that can compare to the dangerous Jacobs and that’s probably just Triple G and Canelo Alvarez. Jacobs has excellent punching power of his own and he’s the superior mover and strategist. I’m thinking Jacobs gets his first KO in two years!
