Canadian Football League Betting Analysis: Grey Cup Odds

This weekend, the Canadian Football playoffs reach their end. Grey Cup 108 will be played this weekend in Hamilton. The game is currently expected to be played in front of a crowd of 20,000! A Grey Cup rematch for the first time since 2010-11! The Hamilton Tiger Cats have home-field advantage in this game as they go toe to toe against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. This game will most certainly live up to its hype. With that being said, let’s have a look at our Canadian Football League Betting analysis so you can make your bets against the Grey Cup odds.

2021 CFL Grey Cup Betting Preview

Hamilton is coming off an intra-provincial rivalry win. As they beat the East division champion, Toronto Argonauts, by a score of 27-19! The Tiger Cats yanked Masoli for backup Dane Evans in the second quarter who led the Ti-Cats to their victory. He tossed for nearly 250 yards and one score! They look to change the result from the Grey Cup in 2019 as they fell to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Winnipeg to nobody’s surprise has found themselves back in the Grey Cup. Last week, they won their matchup against the Saskatchewan Roughriders by a margin of 21-17! Zach Collaros passed for over 200 yards and one touchdown. He threw three interceptions but he played in the windy snow so it seemed justified. But that is not a mistake that he can make this weekend.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are the best team in Canadian football. It could not say this enough throughout the regular season and it is more obvious than ever! The Blue Bombers just got their best player back! Andrew Harris, who is the reigning Grey Cup MVP, played his first game since October and got a full load this weekend. He had 23 carries for 136 yards and one touchdown. He dominates every defense he faces and has yet to be stopped! The Blue Bomber defense has been dominant all season long as they have terrorized opposing offenses. They allow the least amount of yards and points. They will be sure to dominate this team just like history tells us they will. There quite literally is no team that can stop those explosive Blue Bombers.

What is wrong with the Tiger Cats. Now don’t get it twisted, this Hamilton team is still a very talented team but what seems to be the problem? Now, this weekend was very telling about the shaky QB play. They do not have a passer that can consistently win games. Over the course of the season, Hamilton has put in three separate QBs. While they are still able to rank fourth in passing yards, I still question their ability to create a stable offense and it all starts with the person under center. Defensively, the Tiger Cats are still a sturdy team. Allowing the second least amount of points and allowing the least amount of rushing yards. They look very good on the opposite of the ball.

The one time these teams faced off against it was the first game of the season, Winnipeg came out on top with a 13 point victory. Collaros played elite games and that was without their best player! One can only imagine what this big blue wrecking crew will to do these Tiger-Cats!
