Why are the BC Lions a good bet ATS?

British Columbia lost the final couple of games of the season, 16-35 at Saskatchewan and 9-26 versus Calgary, but before the two losses, the Lions had played great. They had won 3 in a row and 6 of their last 7.

BC gets into the Eastern Division Semifinals due to CFL’s cross-over rule, which states that if the 4th place team in one division has more points than the 3 other teams in the other division, that team crosses over to the other Division Semifinals.

Now that BC is here, they won’t squander their chance to make it to the Eastern Finals.

Why are the Hamilton Tiger-Cats a good bet ATS?

Like BC, Hamilton ended the CFL Regular Season on a losing streak. The Tiger-Cats dropped games to Ottawa twice and also lost to Montreal. The loss to Montreal is most disconcerting, but it happened in the final regular season week when Hamilton was all but assured to make it to the semifinals. The Tiger-Cats pulled back in the 28-30 Alouettes loss. Why not when you know you must be at full strength the very next week for when the playoffs start?

BC Lions at Hamilton Tiger-Cats Final Betting Analysis

Hamilton should be slightly favored over British Columbia once odds makers set the line, but the Tiger-Cats haven’t shown that they’re any better than BC this season. Neither the play on the field, nor the trends indicate that the Tiger-Cats cover or even win straight up on Sunday.

The lone reason to back Hamilton’s that they pummeled the Lions 40-10 on Sep. 29. In the game before, BC beat the Tiger-Cats 35-32.  British Columbia’s been the much better team in the second half of the season. They’re the play on the moneyline in the expectation they kick off as the dogs.
