Five Fearless Betting Predictions For The 2021 Wisconsin Badgers

Five Fearless Betting Predictions For The 2021 Wisconsin Badgers

In most college football seasons, oddsmakers favor the Ohio State Buckeyes to win the Big Ten East and the Wisconsin Badgers to win the Big Ten West. This season, Wisconsin looks particularly strong to take their division and battle the Big Ten East winner. As we move closer to the start of the season, check out five fearless NCAAF Betting predictions for Wisconsin football.

NCAA Football – Wisconsin Badgers: 5 Fearless Betting Predictions

2021-2022 College Football Regular Season

  • When: Saturday, Aug. 28 – Saturday, Dec. 11

Prediction #1 – Wisconsin wins the Big Ten West division

Like we wrote above, the Badgers look like a lock to win the Big Ten West Division. Unlike the Big Ten East, the West don’t send teams like Penn State, Michigan, and Ohio State to the field.

For some reason, the Big Ten has put the conference’s best programs, save for Wisconsin, in the same division. Even Indiana is a Big Ten West team.

Wisconsin must get by Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska and Northwestern to win the west. Beating all 4 shouldn’t be an issue.

Prediction #2 – Badgers freshman running back Jalen Berger leads the Big Ten in rushing yards

How good is Jalen Berger? We’re not exactly sure because this will be the first season he starts. Based on 60 carries from 2020, though, Berger should dominate.

Wisconsin’s offensive line always opens holes for their running backs. 2021 won’t be any different. Berger averaged 5 yards per carry last season. He could boost that to 6 yards per carry because the line boasts four seniors, including a senior center.

Prediction #3 – Wisconsin loses 2 games during the regular season

Finishing a Big Ten regular season schedule unscathed is tough. Wisconsin plays against plenty of quality conference opponents, including Penn State, Iowa, Michigan, Northwestern, Nebraska, and Minnesota.

But among their 12 games, the Badgers only play 4 on the road. The 4 road games are versus Illinois, Rutgers, Purdue, and the Golden Gophers.

It’s doubtful Wisconsin loses more than 2 games this season. If we believe one of the losses is to Notre Dame on Sep. 25, the Badgers figure to lose a single Big Ten game.

Prediction #4 – The Badgers win the Big Ten title game

Wisconsin looks primed to beat Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, or any other team that wins the Big Ten East Division.

If Berger comes through with a massive season, and the Badgers’ defense gels, Wisconsin should overcome the Buckeyes in the title match. Should Michigan or Penn State upset Ohio State and win the west, Wisconsin would likely be the favorite to win the Big Ten Championship.

Prediction #5 – Wisconsin wins a New Year’s Day bowl game

We’re thinking Rose Bowl. We’re not ready to say the Badgers play USC in this year’s Rose Bowl, but we’re definitely leaning that way.

The Badgers may not do enough to secure a College Football Playoff bid. Two losses, especially if one of the losses is to a team like Northwestern, will disqualify Wisconsin from a CFP trip.

But the Rose Bowl isn’t part of the College Football Playoff this season, which means if the Badgers win the Big Ten Championship, they grab the conference’s spot in the Rose Bowl.
