Top Five NCAA Football Games to Must Bet On Week 5 of the 2022-23 Season

2022 NCAAF Week 5

  • When: Thursday, Sep. 29 – Saturday, Oct. 2

15-Washington Huskies -2.5 at UCLA Bruins | Friday, Sep. 30

It’s scary how good the Washington Huskies might be. So far this season, Washington has played like a top five team not just a top fifteen squad.

The Huskies are 4-0 ATS and SU. Washington heads into this after putting a 40-22 beating onto rival Stanford.

UCLA is undefeated as well, but the Bruins haven’t played a team close to Washington’s level. UCLA has a slight edge because this is at the Rose Bowl. But in every phase, the Huskies are better. Washington wins and covers.

NCAAF Week 5 Pick: Washington -2.5

New Mexico Lobos at UNLV Runnin’ Rebels -14.5 | Friday, Sep. 30

LSU exposed New Mexico in the Lobos’ last, beating New Mexico 38-0. The Runnin’ Rebels should add to the Lobos’ woes.

UNLV is 4-0 ATS and 3-1 SU this season. The Rebels average 39.5 points from 439.8 yards each contest. UNLV shouldn’t let up on the gas pedal while the Lobos score just 20.5 points per. UNLV rolls to a win and cover.

NCAAF Week 5 Pick: UNLV -14.5

Iowa State Cyclones -3.5 at Kansas Jayhawks | Saturday, Oct. 1

In their last, the Iowa State D allowed a team like Baylor, which is a run first squad, to post 31 points in a 31-24 Baylor victory.

The Cyclones battled the Bears at home last Saturday. This Saturday, Iowa State travels to Kansas. The Jayhawks are 4-0 ATS and SU. The Cyclones are going to have a heck of a time containing quarterback Jalon Daniels.

The Kansas Jayhawks QB averages 8.4 yards per rush and completes over 71% of his passes. Daniels should have no trouble taking advantage of an Iowa State D that Baylor exposed in week 4. Kansas wins this straight up.

NCAAF Week 5 Pick: Kansas +3.5

10-NC State Wolfpack at 5-Clemson Tigers -6.5 | Saturday, Oct. 1

In their last, Clemson outlasted Wake Forest in a 2-overtime 51-45 game. The Tigers now host the team most capable of ending Clemson’s CFP dreams, NC State.

The NC State Wolfpack got a scare in a NCAAF Week 1, but since beating East Carolina in a 21-20 game, the Pack has rolled to 3 straight wins and 2-of-3 covers. The non-cover happened in a 41-10 win against Connecticut as a -38 point chalk.

QB Devin Leary has thrown 9 TDs to 2 INTs. Clemson offers way too many points in this. NC State is the pick.

NCAAF Week 5 Pick: NC State +6.5

Colorado Buffalos at Arizona Wildcats -17.5 | Saturday, Oct. 1

How bad is Colorado? The Buffalos are 0-4 SU and ATS, but that doesn’t tell the whole story.

Colorado averages less than 12 points per game. The Buffs allow over 43 points per. Arizona isn’t a great football team, but the Wildcats can score. So expect another blowout loss from the terrible Colorado Buffalos.

NCAAF Week 5 Pick: Arizona -17.5
