AP Poll 25 Betting Picks: Best Teams to Bet On Week 12

With just two regular-season games left, teams know how important it is not to slip up and lose this late in the season. We’re going to take a look at the AP Top 25 poll, and we’ll go over the teams sitting at the top. We’ll see if one of them slips up this weekend or if the top of the poll remains the same next week. Without further a do, let’s jump right into action so you can bet against the NCAA Football Lines.

A Brief Look at the Top Teams in This Week’s AP Top 25

1. Georgia Bulldogs

While everyone was waiting for another Alabama-Georgia matchup, that’s not going to happen. While Georgia’s defense always seems to get all of the attention, the Georgia offense has arguably led the way this season. Stetson Bennett has done a great job of utilizing all of the weapons that Georgia has. Their focus this week is beating Kentucky, and then they’ll have Georgia Tech to end the regular season.

2. Ohio State Buckeyes

The Buckeyes offense can’t be stopped. This high-scoring unit is putting on a show every week. The only down week they’ve had was because of the weather when they played at Northwestern. They play the Maryland Terrapins this week. Could the Ohio State Buckeyes be overlooking the Terps in anticipation of next week’s game at Michigan? We’ll see.

3. Michigan Wolverines

Speaking of Michigan, they are rolling as well. Jim Harbaugh is proving to everyone that he can coach in college. The defense held Nebraska to just three points last week in a 34-3 win. This week the Wolverines will take on an Illinois squad that has lost its last two. We’ll see if the Michigan defense can slow down Chase Brown.

4. TCU Horned Frogs

This squad just keeps finding ways to win. They’ll have a tough road test this week against a struggling Baylor team. If TCU can stay undefeated, the Horned Frogs will find themselves in the College Football Playoffs.

5. Tennessee Volunteers

The Vols can score, but they struggle to stop their opponents from scoring. They’ll travel to South Carolina this week. The Vols are hoping for a TCU loss so they can sneak back into a playoff spot. Michigan or Ohio State will lose at least one game, but then it will be up to the committee. Tennessee won’t be in the SEC title game, so when the regular season ends, their fate is in the hands of the CFP committee.

6. LSU Tigers

LSU has climbed up the rankings and has found ways to win games, including beating Alabama. If the Tigers can win their next two games against UAB and Texas A&M, they’ll find themselves playing the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC title game. If they win the SEC title, they could find themselves in the playoffs.

7. USC Trojans

With just one loss, the USC Trojans still have an outside shot at a playoff spot. They’ll need to beat UCLA this weekend, and then win the Pac-12 title. Even with that, they won’t be guaranteed a spot in the playoffs. They’ll need TCU to lose, and will need to catch some other breaks along the way.
