Baylor Bears Vs Air Force Falcons Odds & Betting Prediction – Armed Forces Bowl Preview

It’s not everyone who is on board with the bowl games, and I’m not just talking about the fans and bettors here. In the past few years, we have seen more and more players bypass the bowl games as they look to stay healthy for the upcoming NFL Draft. Of course, this doesn’t apply to the playoff games and the bowls that are considered a little more glamorous than most, but it’s still something that can keep people away. For me, I think it’s great to have football, not to mention a ton of wagering opportunities, on TV essentially every day as we wait for the playoffs to roll around. With that in mind, we are doing all we can to get you up to speed on as many bowl games as possible so that you can go into each one with an idea of how to wager these games. We won’t always get out picks right, of course, but we’ll certainly do the best we can. For this piece, we are focusing on the Armed Forces Bowl between Air Force and Baylor, which is set for December 22 at 7:30 PM EST. Baylor is a 6-point favorite, with the O/U set at 49 ½. That being said, it’s time to have a look at the upcoming Armed Forces Bowl game between Baylor and Air Force so you can bet on the NCAA Football Bowl Odds.

Who is Playing in the Armed Forces Bowl? | Baylor versus Air Force Betting Preview

Air Force Falcons

This is a team that probably doesn’t really get the credit it deserves. They ended the regular season with a 9-3 record and one of the best defensive units in the nation, but not a lot of people are talking about them. This will be an opportunity for the Air Force Falcons to show what they can do against a strong program. They are coming into this game on a bit of a run after winning their final 4 games of the year. During that stretch, they surrendered just 25 total points, and they will need all of that defense against Baylor. Their offense is not what you would call explosive, but they did average a touch over 26 PPG this season. Overall, the Falcons went 6-6 against the spread and were 5-7 O/U.

Baylor Bears

One of the toughest things to do is get up for a game after seeing the regular season end on a low note. That is exactly what Baylor is going to have to do, though, as they went out and lost their final 3 games of the regular season, albeit against a trio of very good teams. They had already become bowl eligible by the time those final few games rolled around, but you do have to wonder how this team is going to dig themselves out of such a slump. You also have to wonder if they really want any part of this game at all. On their day, though, this team can roll, putting up over 33 PPG during the course of the regular season, while the defense surrendered over 26 PPG. They covered in 7 of their 12 regular season games and went 8-4 O/U.

Betting and Prediction

I have to say that of all the bowl games I have covered to this point, this one may be the trickiest of all to handicap. A lot of that has to do with the mindset of the Baylor Bears heading into this one, which we are not going to know until the game starts. I could see Air Force springing the upset in this one, and I at least like them to cover.
