NCAA Football Bowl Betting Predictions & Picks for Orange, Citrus, Rose, Sugar Bowl Games

NCAA Football Bowl Betting Predictions & Picks for Orange, Citrus, Rose, Sugar Bowl Games

Over the past few weeks, we have been breaking out the crystal ball and looking ahead to some of the bigger bowl games on the upcoming schedule. We no longer need to make prediction on which teams will be meeting up, as the entire bowl schedule has now been decided. Now that we know who will face who, we can start thinking about predictions for each of those games. The odds that are up now may be different when those bowl games roll around, as you can almost guarantee that we are going to see some of the better players sit these games out as they prepare to head to the NFL Draft. What we can do, though, is make some early College Football Bowl Betting predictions, but be aware that these might change once we get closer to the games.

College Football Bowl Season: Orange, Citrus, Rose, Sugar Bowl Matches Betting Predictions

Orange Bowl – Tennessee Volunteers Vs Clemson Tigers – December 30

We got this one right with out prediction last week, with the Orange Bowl pitting an ACC team versus one from the SEC or Big Ten. Both of these teams finished the year with the same 10-2 record, but they will not be looking at that outcome the same way. Clemson expects to be in the playoffs every year, so missing out is considered a huge disappointment. Tennessee is on the rise, and while there will be some disappointment at missing the playoffs, this still feels like a big step forward. Clemson is a 7-point favorite, and the O/U is at 64. Right now, the Volunteers to cover and the OVER looks good.

Citrus Bowl – LSU Tigers Vs Purdue Boilermakers – January 2

It’s the SEC and the Big Ten who meet in this one, and we also got this prediction right last week, with LSU and Purdue set to lock horns in this one. The LSU Tigers won the West Division and went all the way to the SEC Championship Game, but they were blown out in a 50-30 loss to the Georgia Bulldogs in that one. Purdue went to the Big Ten Championship Game and were overrun by the Michigan Wolverines. LSU is an 8-point favorite at the moment, with the point total at 58. I am leaning toward LSU at the moment, but that might change.

Rose Bowl – Utah Utes Vs Penn State Nittany Lions – January 2

The events of the past weekend shook things up in the bowl schedule, with this game seeing the biggest change. We had the loser of the Ohio State/Michigan game in the final week of the regular season falling into this one, which pits the Big Ten against the PAC-12, but both of those teams eventually made the playoffs. We are still getting a good one here, though, with PAC-12 Champions, the Utah Utes, set to face off against Penn State. Utah is favored by 2 ½, with the point total set at 52. Right now, I like Utah to win and cover.

Sugar Bowl – Alabama Crimson Tide Vs Kansas State Wildcats – December 31

This is another one that we go right in our final prediction, with the Alabama Crimson Tide set to go against the Kansas State Wildcats. This has to be viewed as a disappointing season for the Crimson Tide, as failing to make the SEC Championship Game or the playoffs will be viewed as a massive failure. Kansas State sprung a bit of a surprise this past weekend, taking out TCU in OT to win the Big 12 Championship. This, though, looks like a tougher task, although Bama is only favored by 4 right now, with the point total set at 54 ½. I am on the Crimson Tide to win and cover.
