Will Nick Saban’s Alabama Crimson Tide record double digit victories en route to their third straight appearance in the four-team CFB playoffs? Can the Ohio State Buckeyes rebound from their playoff drubbing a year ago to get back in the final four in 2017?

Will the Florida State Seminoles challenge for the national championship under their young and gifted signal-caller after bagging the national championship under another young quarterback just a few seasons ago? If you’re looking for answers on just how each of these title contenders will make out in 2017, then I’ve got answers!

College Football Season Win Total Predictions For trio Of Top Title Contenders

Alabama 10.5 Wins

The Alabama Crimson Tide have reached the double-digit win mark in nine straight seasons under Nick Saban while winning 11 games or more in each of the last six seasons. The only potential losses I see on Alabama’s 2017 schedule come in their opener at Florida State and potentially at Texas A&M in Week 6, although I will say that Ole Miss has played the Tide very tough in recent years and could do so again in Week 5. I’m thinking one loss (if that) is what lies ahead for young quarterback Jalen Hurts and the rest of the Crimson Tide in 2017. Play the Over people!

Pick: Over 10.5 Wins

Ohio State 10.5 Wins

The Buckeyes went 11-2 a year ago before getting shut out by Clemson in the national semifinals. Gifted dual-threat signal-caller J.T. Barrett will be back under center in 2017, but the Buckeyes have more question marks than definitive answers right now. Ohio State could lose in Week 2 at home against Baker Mayfield and the explosive Oklahoma Sooners while falling in Week 8 at home against Penn State. The Buckeyes will have a tough time a week later at Iowa and again in their regular season finale at Michigan. Ohio State will lose at least two of its 12 games in 2017 making the Under the way to go against their win total odds.

Pick: Under 10.5 Wins

Florida State 10.5

Florida State 10.5

The Seminoles went 10-3 last season under freshman quarterback Deondre Francois and they look like their only losses could come in their opener at home against Alabama, at Louisville in Week 7, at Clemson in Week 10 and at Florida in their regular season finale. I like the Noles though to beat the Gators and Clemson Tigers, leaving them with to potential losses and sitting on 10 wins. It’s going to be a close call that all hinges on the Louisville outcome, but right now, I say the Noles reach 11 wins.

Pick: Over 10.5 wins
