SEC cancels Bama versus LSU, Alabama remains overall favorite

After a bunch of LSU staff and players came down with COVID cases, the SEC postponed one of their most important conference games of the year, Alabama versus LSU. Defending champion LSU hadn’t played well this season, but no matter if one team is better than the other, LSU versus Alabama is always a close game.

There’s no word on when or if the Tigers and Crimson Tide will throw down at all this season. Alabama is undefeated and, so far, rolling through their schedule with no issues. The Tigers have already beaten Georgia, should take down rival Auburn in the Iron Bowl, and will be a favorite over the Dawgs or Florida Gators in the SEC Championship.

Bama mustn’t play LSU this season to prove they belong in the CFP. The Tide have played so well that they’re now a solid +125 favorite to take the title.

Ohio State, Notre Dame, Alabama and Clemson expected to make the College Football Playoff

Even though Notre Dame handed Clemson a loss, the preseason favorites are still close to a lock to grab a College Football Playoff bid. The Tigers faced Notre Dame in South Bend in front of Irish fans. They were down before mounting a comeback and the loss happened in overtime.

Not only that, but Clemson should get another crack at Notre Dame. That will help their chances to make the playoffs. Both Ohio State and Alabama are favorites to notch bids to the CFP.

There’s a rumor the CFP may push the National Championship. Although it’s a rumor, rising COVID cases could force the NCAAF’s hand. If top teams like Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, and Ohio State must cancel games instead of just postponing, that could affect the date of this season’s title matchup.

Undefeated Indiana and Ohio State on a collision course

This Saturday’s top game has Ohio State hosting the Indiana Hoosiers. The Buckeyes have looked great dominating teams in their first 3 games. But Ohio State lost against the spread versus Rutgers in Week 11.

Also, the Buckeyes allow 23 points per on offense. Indiana is undefeated and 4-0 ATS. Make sure to sharpen your handicapping pencils for Ohio State versus Indiana on Saturday.

Have a great week!
