Why bet on the USC Trojans

While this is still a very big game, the USC Trojans are sure to still be in a state of disappointment after missing out on the playoffs. The Trojans went into the PAC 12 Conference Championship Game knowing that a win would more than likely put them in the postseason, but the Utah Utes had a different idea, pummeling USC on their way to a 47-24 win. Both losses that the Trojans suffered this season came at the hands of Utah, so perhaps that championship game loss should not have come as such a surprise, USC averaged over 41 PPG this season, while the defense surrendered just shy of 28 PPG. The Trojans covered the spread in 3 of their last 4 games, with the OVER hitting in each of their last 7 games.

Why bet on the Tulane Green Wave

The Tulane Green Wave finished the season with the same 11-2 record as the Trojans. Besides the record, there were similarities with what Tulane and USC did, with one major exception. That would be that Tulane managed to get revenge on a team that beat them earlier in the season, taking down UCF in the AAC Championship Game. What that means is that the Green Wave ended the season on a 3-game win streak, but will that momentum carry over into the Cotton Bowl? Tulane weren’t as explosive on offense as the Trojans, but you do have to say that averaging over 35 PPG is not too shabby. They were better on defense, though, giving up a touch over 20 PPG this season. Tulane went 8-1 SU in their final 9 games of the season, while matching that record against the spread. The OVER has hit in 6 of their last 7 games.

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

This has all the makings of a fabulously entertaining game that could well deliver a ton of offense. In fact, it could be a situation where the last team to get the football is the one that wins it. I am all about the OVER in this one.
