Written by on November 24, 2016

Will the 12th-ranked USC Trojans close out their regular season with a win over the Notre Fighting Irish? Can the 17th-ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers keep their name in the mix for a New Year’s Day bowl game by dispatching the Iowa Hawkeyes? Last but certainly not least, who’s going to bring home the bacon when the third-ranked Michigan Wolverines and second-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes ‘brawl for it all’ in their annual Big Ten battle? Let’s find out the answers to all three questions right now as well as the latest college football spreads.

A Closer Look At The Week 13 College Football Three Huge Matchups Parlay Picks

Notre Dame Fighting Irish (4-7) at USC Trojans (8-3)

When: Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 3:30 pm NCAAF Odds: USC -17 / Total: 58 Analysis: The inconsistent Notre Dame Fighting Irish have alternated wins and losses over their last five games and come into this matchup off a crushing 34-31 loss to Virginia Tech this past weekend while failing to cover the spread as a 1-point favorite. The red-hot USC Trojans have won seven consecutive games including their 36-14 blowout over longtime rival UCLA last weekend while covering the college football betting line as a 13-point favorite. So far as this annual clash is concerned, I’m going to advise you to back the incendiary Trojans to get the SU win and narrow ATS cover against a Notre Dame team that isn’t nearly as good as they were expected to be this season. Notre Dame is 1-4 ATS in their last five non-conference games while USC has gone 5-0 ATS in their last five games and 4-1 ATS in their last five home games. More importantly, USC is playing outstanding defense right now and has a pair of elite cornerbacks that should both, give Notre Dame’s passing attack fits, before ending up playing on Sundays in the NFL in the very near future. Pick: USC 35 Notre Dame 21

Nebraska Cornhuskers (9-2) at Iowa Hawkeyes (7-4)

When: Friday, November 25, 2016 at 3:30 PM ET Where: Kinnick Stadium NCAAF Odds: Iowa -2.5 Analysis: The 17th-ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers have won two straight and three of their last five including their convincing 28-7 win over Maryland last weekend as 13-point home favorites. The Iowa Hawkeyes have won two straight and four of their last six games overall. Iowa comes into this conference clash off a convincing 28-0 shutout win over Illinois last weekend to easily cover the spread as a 9.5-point road favorite. Iowa man-handled Nebraska in last season’s 28-20 road win and the Hawkeyes are my pick to get the narrow win at home against a Cornhuskers team that hasn’t been firing on all cylinders over the last month. While the road team in this series is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings, I simply don’t like the way Nebraska has played recently. After watching Iowa take out No. 3 Michigan 14-13 at home two weeks ago, I’m thinking the Hawkeyes are in for a narrow win over the Cornhuskers. Pick: Iowa 28 Nebraska 24

Michigan Wolverines (10-1) at Ohio State Buckeyes (10-1)

When: Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 12:00 PM ET NCAAF Odds: Ohio State -7 / Total: 45.5 Analysis: The Michigan Wolverines bounced back from their Week 10 loss to Iowa to squeak past lowly Indiana 20-10 last time out but never came close to covering the spread as a whopping 24-point home favorite against the Hoosiers. The Ohio State Buckeyes have won four straight but nearly fell again in their 17-16 squeaker of a win against mediocre Michigan State last weekend while never, ever coming close to cover the spread as a 20.5-point road favorite. So far as this huge matchup is concerned, I’m fully expect the Ohio State Buckeyes defense to force Michigan backup quarterback John O’Korn into at least one costly turnover and likely two. The Wolverines are a dismal 1-4 ATS in their last five conference games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven meetings against Ohio State. The Buckeyes are 5-2 ATS in their last seven home games and have the huge edge at quarterback. I say Ohio State wins outright while covering the college football betting line by the slimmest of margins. Pick: Ohio State 27 Michigan 17
