College Football Season Week 3 Parlay Picks and Favorites

After 2 weeks of the 2017 college football season, we are starting to get a better idea of which teams are likely to beat the college football betting spreads week after week, and what programs stand the best chance to make it to the postseason. The Alabama Crimson Tide remain the favorites until someone can knock them off. The Clemson Tigers are not as badly off as we thought they might be after losing a ton of talent to the NFL, and the Ohio State Buckeyes now have a mountain to climb after getting seriously pounded in Week 2. There are a couple of potential dark horses out there now, with the Oklahoma Sooners and Georgia Bulldogs both delivering statement wins over the weekend. Saturday is now in the rearview, which means it’s time to look ahead to Week 3 of the college football season. Let’s take a look at the match-ups to see if we can create a winning parlay ticket. As always, I am going to select games that feature evenly matched teams that can ensure bettors a nice payout on the parlay.

Kentucky Wildcats (+6 ½) Vs South Carolina Gamecocks

Both of these teams are off to winning starts, opening the season with back to back games, which mean something needs to give this weekend. If playing straight up, my money would be on the Gamecocks, but I am looking for a bit more value, which is why I plan on playing the Wildcats ATS. While Kentucky Wildcats have only managed a single win in their last 8 visits to South Carolina, they have been competitive in their last 5 meetings overall, going 4-1 ATS. 5 Fearless College Football Betting SEC Predictions

Notre Dame Fighting Irish Vs Boston College Screaming Eagles (+13)

Notre Dame were supposed to be a whole lot better this season, and a signature win at home against the Georgia Bulldogs would have proven that to be the case. Unfortunately for the Irish, they were swamped by an overpowering Dawgs defense en route to a 20-19 win that has made the coaches seat very hot in South Bend. Notre Dame will look to bounce back with a win on the road in Week 3, but I am not convinced that can cover this spread. While he Irish have won their last 5 against Boston College, they have gone just 1-5 in their last 6 meetings with the Screaming Eagles. Iowa State Cyclones (-8 ½) Vs Akron Zips

The measure of any good team is their ability to bounce back after a tough loss. The Cyclones gassed a big lead in Week 2 against their in-state rivals, the Iowa Hawkeyes, and now need to find a way to get back on track this weekend when they face the Akron Zips. This is one that I believe Iowa State can win quite comfortably, especially if they are as efficient on offense as they were last weekend. The Cyclones are not great ATS on the road, but have still managed to go 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 games. The Bruins come into Week 3 of the NCAA football season with a perfect 2-0 record, as well as an offense that has scored 101 points in its opening 2 games. While that number is certainly impressive, it is tempered a little by the fact that the defense has surrendered 67 points in those 2 games. The O/U for this one has not been set yet, but take a look at the OVER when it goes live. Neither of these two teams have performed particularly well ATS in their most recent games, but it is UCLA who I am giving the nod to here, based on nothing more than their ability to score big.
