They Badgers pulled off a 23-21 road win against the Nebraska Cornhuskers last Saturday, and will be looking continue in winning ways at home this weekend.  In the previous game, QB Joel Stave had a decent contribution, completing 24 of his 50 passes for 322 yards and a TD through the air. His offensive counterpart Troy Fumagalli had a good game as well, totaling six receptions for 60 yards and one TD, while Senior receiver Alex Erickson racked up 113 yards on seven catches. Purdue has struggled in nearly every facet of the game. In their last outing on Saturday, the Boilermakers were dominated 41-13 at home by the Minnesota Golden Gophers, a program that has largely struggled to score this season. Just about the only source of offense in the team was Danny Anthrop, who registered five receptions for 59 yards, which wasn’t that game-changing in the long run anyway. For example, the pass defense forces the opponents to struggle in earning yardages, as it is allowing just 10.3 yards per pass. Even so, this defense will have its hands full, as it will be facing Big 10’s second-leading passer in Stave, who has tallied 1,386 yards passing and 8 TDs this season.
