Gaming is a lot like sports in that it has a worldwide appeal and a lot of people interested in beating other players. With the majority of major games allowing players to go head to head with players from all over the world, it’s not real surprise that professional leagues began to develop. The next obvious step was to allow wagering on those leagues, which is where we are now. League of Legends is one of the most popular games in the world, while also having one of the largest professional eSports setups, with regional leagues operating all over the world. The league that we are going to focus on today is the LCK, which is based on Korea. It is a 10-team league that has a fantastic battle going on at the top of the table, so let’s take a closer look at the 3 games on the schedule for Wednesday, April 15 and their corresponding League of Legends Odds.

eSports League of Legends LCK Apr 15 Matches

Gen.G (-232) Vs kt Rolster (+156) – 2 AM EST Start

As we mentioned at the top of this piece, there is a fantastic battle going on for top spot in the LCK, with no less than 3 teams all tied up with a 13-4 record. Gen.G are one of the teams in that group, but they will be more than a little disappointed that they are not clear at the top, with a surprising 2-1 loss to Hanwha Life Esports coming in their last game. They will be looking to bounce back from that and hopefully stay on pace with the other 2 teams tied for 1st. This will not be an easy one for Gen.G, though, as they are up against a kt Rolster team sitting in 4th with a 10-7 record. They are on a nice run right now, winning back to back matches ahead of this one. This matchup may require all 3 games, but I am on Gen.G to get back to winning ways.

T1 (-588) Vs Afreeca Freecs (+326) – 4 AM EST Start

Given the tight nature of the standings at the top of the League of Legends LCK, the teams involved really cannot afford to have any sort of letdown or day off, which is what we saw with Gen.G in their last game. It will be T1 who are looking to protect their current standing as they look to pick up their 14th win of the spring season on Wednesday morning. They are also coming off a loss, although their 2-0 defeat at the hands of kt Rolster was perhaps not quite that shocking. Next up for T1 is a best of 3 matchup against Afreeca Freecs, who are in the bottom half of the league with a 7-10 record. I just don’t see T1 losing back to back games.

DAMWON Gaming (-333) vs SANDBOX Gaming (+211) – 7 AM EST Start

It is beginning to look obvious that the #1 seed heading into the playoffs is going to be contested by the 3 teams currently sharing the lead in the LCK. With 5 teams heading into the postseason, that means that there are only 2 spots left to snag, with DAMWON having a real shot at landing one of them. They are currently sitting at 8-9 on the season, which has them in 5th in the LCK. With this being the final game of the regular season, a win over SANDBOX (5-12) would see them clinch a playoff spot. This is a game that you would expect DAMWON to win.
