Latest 2021 Drivers & Constructors Championship Odds

Written by on February 9, 2021

We are now little more than a month away from the start of the new Formula 1 season, with the first race of the year set for March 28 in Bahrain. We are hoping for a full, uninterrupted season, and for those who are fans of Lewis Hamilton, there is also the opportunity to see history being made, which we will get into in just a moment. There is a lot to look forward to in 2021, but who will come out on top in both the drivers and constructors series? It’s perhaps too early to call, but let’s see what the bookies think. With that in mind, let’s get right to it so you can continue planning your bets against their Formula 1 odds.

Last Minute F1 Drivers Championship odds / Constructors Championship odds

2021 Drivers Championship Odds

  • Lewis Hamilton (-300)

It took longer than expected, but Hamilton did eventually sign a new contract with Mercedes, albeit for just a single year. That, though, may be all it takes for him to win his 8th World Championship, which would make him the most successful driver in Formula 1 history. As it stands now, he is tied for championship wins with Michael Schumacher. His signing creates a bit of a ripple effect with the odds in both the driver and constructor series, which is why things may have changed just a little.

  • Valtteri Bottas (+600)

You have to feel a little sorry for Bottas, despite the fact that he has a rather healthy bank account. He is a teammate of Lewis’ at Mercedes and has had to play second fiddle to the champion, finishing second in the driver standings in each of the past two seasons. He can certainly challenge Hamilton, but will he be a team player and let his teammate get that 8th title?

  • Max Verstappen (+400)

The big question heading into the 2021 F1 season is whether anyone can seriously challenge Hamilton after he basically had things wrapped up early last year. Max Verstappen may well be the driver in with the best shot, assuming he can actually finish races this coming season. In the races he completed in 2020, he managed to hit the podium 11 times.

2021 Constructors Championship Odds

Mercedes (-550) – When you have a team that includes the drivers who finished in the top two in each of the last two seasons, it’s no real surprise that you enter the new season as such a heavy favorite. Mercedes will be heaving a little sigh of relief after securing Hamilton for another year, which is why we have seen no change in their being favorites in 2021.

Red Bull Racing (+300) – If there is any team in with a chance of dethroning Mercedes, it would be Red Bull, but you do have to say that it looks like a rather slim chance. Red Bull were at the top of the heap between 2010 and 2013, but they still look to be a ways off from challenging Mercedes for the top spot again, although stranger things have happened.

The next closes competitor is Ferrari at +1000, but this looks very much like a 2-horse race between Mercedes and Red Bull.
