F1 United States Grand Prix Odds Favorites, Betting Analysis and Picks

Written by on October 21, 2022

While the Formula 1 season is not over, the race to be world champion most certainly is. Max Verstappen has won his 2nd straight with 4 races still to come, and it now looks like just a matter of time before Red Bull Racing wins the constructor race to complete the sweep. While the championship race is now done and dusted, we still have 4 more races to wager on, starting this weekend with the United States Grand Prix, which will be held at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. This is a great opportunity for US race fans to get an up close and personal look at F1, plus also another chance for bettors to build their bankroll before the season comes to an end. No real surprises to be found in the F1 Betting Odds, but let’s take a closer look.

Formula 1 Betting Odds, Analysis and Prediction for the 2022 Aramco United States GP Race

Max Verstappen (-243)

It would be easy for Verstappen to take his foot off the gas pedal and just phone it in now that he has been crowned champion, but he does not strike me as the type of man who would think that to be an acceptable way to go about his business. The reality is that he has looked like a champion from basically the first race onward this season, so no reason to believe that he will relax now. He already has 12 wins on the season, which is a truly incredible showing, but you know that he wants more. You certainly have to like his chances this weekend when you consider that he won this race in the 2021 season on his way to his first world title. Can he repeat in Austin? The bookies certainly seem to think so.

Lewis Hamilton (+690)

One of the biggest disappointments of the year has been that there was no real challenger to Verstappen. It has been a massive down year for Hamilton, and Mercedes as a hole, but this is a driver with some unfinished business. Since coming into F1 in 2007, we have not seen a season where Hamilton has failed to win a race, but he is very much on the brink of having that happen this year. Given that he is such a competitor, you know that Hamilton is well aware of this stat and that he will be going all out to ensure that he keeps his winning streak alive. You have to go back to 2017 to find the last time he won the American Grand Prix, but he has been on the podium every time since then.

Sergio Perez (+700)

Perez made the move to Red Bull Racing last season to become the teammate to Max Verstappen, and he has seen steady improvement during his short time with his new team. With a pair of wins already under his belt, this is the most successful season that Perez has deliver during his time in F1. He is currently sitting 2nd in the driver standings and would love to sit there to give his team the top 2 spots, which would be some achievement. He landed on the podium in this race last season, so no reason to believe he can’t repeat that this weekend.
