ATP 2022 French Open Betting Analysis Will Carlos Alcaraz Win his First Roland-Garros Title

ATP 2022 French Open Betting Analysis: Will Carlos Alcaraz Win his First Roland-Garros Title?

Born on the 5th of May 2003, Carlos Alcaraz is growing to become a sensation on the tennis court, and many experts are touting him to be the future of the sport. He reminds us of a young Nadal, who went on to win his first Grand Slam as a teenager. Would we see another Spanish teen take the tennis world by storm?

We look forward to what Alcaraz’s career holds. The teenager has been consistent with his continuous rise in the industry, and it hasn’t been easy for anyone that has faced him. He is not just a rising prodigy but has already shown signs of becoming a legend, even though he is only 19.

He was the first player to beat both Djokovic and Nadal on clay in a single tournament, and he went on to win his 2nd Masters 1000 title in Madrid. The teenager is on a roll, and he was even described by Alexander Zverev, a top tennis player, as the best tennis player in the world now.

And we don’t think he is far off. Therefore, with this rise to stardom and incredible skills, will Alcaraz win his first French Open title this year? Keep reading to find out what we think so you can get all set to bet against his French Open Odds.

Carlos Alcaraz’s Year So Far

The year has been good for Alcaraz, and he is on a roll to becoming a great tennis player. Last year September, he became the youngest US Open quarter-finalist of the Open era. But this year, Alcaraz won his first Masters’ crown in Miami and also got his second Masters 1000 title in Madrid. Therefore, it is gearing to be one incredible year.

Although he had to pull out of the Italian Open to rest his sore ankle, the year is looking good for the young man. And we think he has what it takes to go far in the coming French Open. With Juan Carlos Ferrero as his coach, he will only get better, and we expect to see him compete in more Grand Slams.

French Open Records

Unlike his idol, Rafael Nadal, who won the Roland Garros title two days after his 19th birthday, Alcaraz would have to wait a few weeks before winning his first Grand Slam. However, it won’t be easy because the top two would want to show that they’re still at the top of their games, and Nadal would want to assert his dominance in France.

As he is still at the start of his career, Alcaraz doesn’t have many records to go with at the various Grand Slams. His best record yet is his quarterfinal appearance at the US Open in 2021, making him the youngest player. At the Roland Garros, he has only reached as far as the 3rd round, and it is the same with the other two grand slams.

Main Competitions

In this year’s French Open, Alcaraz will be looking to take things further and win his first Grand Slam title. He is already winning the Masters’ 1000 titles. Therefore, he can do that at the biggest stages. However, he is faced with many tough oppositions. As a result, he would need to be on top of his game.

One of the biggest threats to his title hopes is Rafael Nadal because everyone knows that the French Court is Nadal’s playground. He has dominated the competition since 2005, and only three players have been able to take the title away from him. So, with Nadal back from injury, it won’t be easy. Other competitors are Novak Djokovic, Stephanos Tsitsipas, and Alexander Zverev.

Our thoughts

Carlos Alcaraz is still young, and he has plenty of years to build on his skills and dominate different Grand Slams. He sure is the future of the sport, and at a point, he would be at the top of the pile. However great he is now, he is not there yet, and we don’t think this would be his year at the French Open. But we think he might reach the semis this time around.
