What favorite among McIlroy, Johnson, Koepka, and Woods has the best chance of winning the 2019 U.S. Open?

Rory turned it on big time to win the RBC Canadian Open this past weekend. McIlroy shot a 67-66-64-61 to dominate the competition. The 61 is an unreal score in a PGA Tournament. Although McIlroy is hot, he’s hard to back to win the U.S. Open. He didn’t play well at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am earlier this year. In 2018, he shot a -1, 16 strokes off the winner.

Both Brooks Koepka and Tiger Woods are tough to back as well. Tiger missed the cut at the PGA Championship. He did bounce back with a great effort at the Memorial Tournament. It’s hard to see Tiger playing well enough to win the U.S. Open, though.

Koepka held on for dear life to win the PGA Championship. He followed that up with a fiftieth at the RBC Open. He could pick up his sticks and shoot well enough to win the U.S. Open. It’s hard to see that happening.

Dustin Johnson is the play among the favorites. DJ finished second at the Masters and second at the PGA Championship. Almost as important? He loves Pebble Beach. He won there in 2009 and 2010. He didn’t play well there earlier this year, but in 2018 he shot a -14, 3 strokes off winner Ted Potter Jr.

Which +2000 to +3300 golfer can take the 2019 U.S. Open?

There are so many ways to go here. The player to back could be Jason Day. Day offers very good odds at +3300. Day has played horribly since the Masters Tournament. He shot a -14 at the 2018 Pebble Beach Pro-Am. He shot a -13 at this year’s tournament.

Day knows the course well. He could turn his form around big time this week.

Who is the best pick among the +3500 to +5000 choices to win the tournament?

The only player to consider backing in the +3500 to +5000 category is Phil Mickelson. Like Dustin Johnson, Mickelson excels at Pebble Beach. Phil won the 2019 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

He’s not in great form. That’s why we’re getting +5000. If you’re looking to back an underdog with a real shot, you could do a lot worse than to go with Phil Mickelson.

Is there a golfer at odds higher than +5000 that can win the 2019 U.S. Open Tournament?

Si Woo Kim offers +15000 odds. If you’re looking to throw a dart and try to hit the bullseye, Si Woo might be the pick. He’s in horrendous form. He’s missed the cut in 4-of-5.

He also finished forty-first at the Memorial. More importantly, he finished fourth at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am this year. If he turns around his form this week, he could be in the running on Sunday.
