Which golfer has the best shot of winning The Honda Classic? Tommy Fleetwood, Brooks Koepka, or Rickie Fowler?

Last week, Tommy Fleetwood shot a decent -6 at the WGC-Mexico Championship. Fleetwood has played decent golf. But the reason he’s favored over Fowler and Koepka is that those two haven’t shown winning form.

Fowler and Koepka finished tied for second in 2019 The Honda Classic. Fowler hasn’t played in a tournament since late January and early February. He finished thirty-seventh at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Before that tournament, Rickie failed to make the cut at the Farmers Insurance Open.

Brooks hasn’t played since mid-February. He finished forty-third at the Genesis Invitational. Before that, Koepka withdrew from the CJ Cup @ Nine Bridges. Going back to his first tournament played this PGA Season, Brooks missed the cut at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.

This could be a turnaround event for Koepka. Although he could shoot well, he might not shoot well enough for a Top 5 finish. Brooks could need a tournament or two before getting back to his best form.

Rickie, on the other hand, might be sitting on a victory. After a 74 first-round in Phoenix, Fowler shot a 65-69-69. He bounced back to get into the Top 40. Rickie could improve off that performance. If you’re looking to back chalk, think Rickie Fowler.

Which golfer between +2000 to +2800 odds has the best chances of winning The Honda Classic?

Gary Woodland shot a +1 in 2019 The Honda Classic. But he brings decent form into this year’s tournament. Woodland finished twelfth at last week’s WGC-Mexico Championship after a 70-69-65-71. Gary also offers decent odds. He can get it done this week.

What is the best golfer to consider backing at odds of +3300 to +5500?

Like Woodland, Daniel Berger shot a +1 at last year’s tournament. Berger is in better form than Woodland, though. He finished ninth at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. He followed that terrific performance up with a fifth at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Berger offers overlay odds at +3300. His odds should be in the +2000 to +2800 range. So, if you back him, rest assured you’re getting better than fair odds.

Consider these 3 PGA Tournament Matchups for 2020 The Honda Classic

Woodland is the play. Rose finished fifty-sixth at the Genesis Invitational. He missed the cut at the Farmers Insurance Open. Gary should beat Justin in the head-to-head.

Take the above even money odds on Fowler. Rickie has played well enough to challenger for the win. Not only that but he finished tied for second last year. Fleetwood is in good enough form to beat Fowler straight up. But we must lay -125 compared to getting +105 on Rickie.

We’re asking a lot for Koepka to turn his form around. Still, if any golfer can turn it on like the flip of a switch, it’s Brooks Koepka. Go ahead and back Koepka against Fleetwood.
