2016 Golf AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Best Favorite Picks
Brandt Snedeker
After setting a course record of 265 one year ago and winning this event in 2015 and 2013, Snedeker certainly warrants the confidence that he could become the 16th man to win multiple titles at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Not to mention, the 35-year-old pro golfer notched a top-25 in 2011, something that should motivate him for a strong show in this course he knows so damn well, and has excelled at repeatedly.Jordan Spieth
While Snedeker is a favorite for bettors that love repeat winners, Spieth is the man to beat, as far as good form is concerned. Unlike Snedeker who struggled at the recent Waste Phoenix Management Open, Spieth is as hot as ever, coming off incredible top-10 performances in three world tour tournaments over the past four weeks, including the eight-stroke win at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions in Mid-January. Some questions can be rightfully raised in regards to his short rest, but for a man that has shown the ability to breeze through back-to-back tournaments, Pebble Beach shouldn’t be a biggie. After all, the World No. 1 has never missed out of the top-25 in his three starts, including a No.7 finish last year, meaning he knows his way around the Pebble Beach.Dustin Johnson
Like Snedeker, Johnson is a two-time champ at Pebble Beach (plus an oh-so close performance in 2010 that almost handed him a third title). In addition to those wins, the World No. 8 has recorded four other top-10 finishes at Pebble Beach, including a tie for No. 2 in 2014 and a tie for No. 4 in 2015. If he can find his stoke early in the tournament, he’ll definitely figure among the best finishers this week, if not claim the win altogether.2016 Golf AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Best Sleeper Picks
Jason Day
The World No. 3 has not had the best of starts this year–finishing tied for 10th at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions and getting cut at the second round of the Farmers Insurance Open also in January—but that doesn’t mean he cannot find his game this week. To his advantage, he’s collected two top 10 finishes on this course over his past three outings and is well-aware of how to deal with the likes of Spieth, things that could easily motivate him for a strong performance in this event that will be used by many to assess his true value in the 2016 golf betting lines.Phil Mickelson
Though written off by many due to his advanced age, the 45-year-old Mickelson is still among the best in the game. And to further boost his reputation, he’s had plenty of success in Pebble Beach, boasting of four wins in this illustrious golf course—including a 17-under par finish with a two-stroke margin of victory in 2012—while notching several other solid performances and wins in the sunny California area. If history holds true, this year should be no different for the still live-wire lefty that hails from San Diego.
