PGA AT&T Byron Nelson Betting Odds & Picks

Written by on May 16, 2017

The PGA Tour is on the move once more, with the next stop of the season being the Four Seasons Las Colinas course in Irving, Texas. The event is the AT&T Byron Nelson. With a strong field showing up to go after the $1.35 million top prize, as well as 500 FedEx Cup points. Picking a winner in any PGA event is tough, and the task becomes even more difficult when you have a field as loaded as this one is. No less than 6 of the top 20 golfers in the world will be there, including Master Champion Sergio Garcia, who will be looking to be a repeat winner at this event. He will have some stiff competition to deal with, though, so let’s take a closer look at some of the favorites for the AT&T Byron Nelson. Find the latest golf betting odds here.

In Depth Analysis On The PGA AT&T Byron Nelson Betting Odds & Picks

Dustin Johnson (+380)

The #1 ranked player in the world will be arriving in Texas looking to continue the hot start that he has made to the season. Johnson has landed in the top 6 in 7 of the 9 events that he has played in this year, and is coming off a solid closing round 68 at the Players Championship last weekend. Johnson finished 12th at this event last year, but it’s fair to say that he is in much better form now than he was at this time last season.

Jordan Spieth (+900)

This is a young man who is playing some fantastic golf right now. Spieth has been busy to start the season, playing in 11 events so far, and landing in the top 25 in 8 of those tournaments. He also has a PGA tour win under his belt this season, which came earlier in the year at Pebble Beach. Spieth always seems to be in the mix on the final afternoon of every event that he plays in, and this one should be no different.Sergio Garcia (+900)

Sergio Garcia (+900)

Not only is Garcia the defending champion at this event, he is also the only man to win twice at this course. Last year’s win was an exciting one, as he has to go the playoff route to knock off Brooks Koepka, who is another golfer you may want to keep an eye on over the weekend. Sergio Garcia is playing some of the best golf of his career right now, and is still on a high after winning the Masters.

Brooks Koepka (+1500)

As I just mentioned, Koepka came within a stroke of winning this event last season, and therefore must be considered a good bet to do well at this course again this year. Koepka has 4 top 10 finishes on the season so far, and while he only has a single tour event win in his career, he still needs to be considered a threat here.My money is going to be on Sergio Garcia. Every golfer always has one or two courses that they perform well at, and this course is one where Garcia always seems to shine.
