Scheffler set the golf world on fire at the beginning of the season when he won four tournaments in six starts. He had a poor performance at the second major of the year, the PGA Championship when he missed the cut. Scheffler will be looking for a bounce-back performance and for his fifth win this season.

Jon Rahm knows a thing or two about raising up the U.S. Open trophy as he won his first major last year at Torrey Pines. Rahm is currently the second-best player in the world and could reclaim the number one spot with a win next week. Rahm would be the first back-to-back winner since Brooks Koepka at the 2017 and 2018 U.S. Opens.

Justin Thomas, the two-time major winner, is tied with Rahm for the second-best odds in the tournament. Thomas is coming off a big win at the PGA Championship earlier this year and would love to add to his major championship resume. He has played in just one tournament since his big win, which would allow his game to be in good shape for next week.

You can get a lot of bang for your buck at +1400 odds. Both Rory McIlroy and Collin Morikawa share the third-best odds in the tournament. McIlroy, the seasoned veteran, and Morikawa, the rising start within the PGA Tour, both could use a big win to boost their status and points this season.

Collin Morikawa is a two-time major winner but is looking for his first U.S. Open victory. His best finish in the U.S. Open was a T-4 finish last year at Torrey Pines. A win could boost Morikawa up the world ranking board as well.

Lastly, Rory McIlroy is looking for his second U.S. Open Championship with a win this week at The Country Club. McIlroy has had a successful season in the last four tournaments, which includes three top 10 finishes.
