Race 6 – 6:15 pm ET – 1 Mile Turf – $14,000 Claiming
It’s hard to understand why Flashy Hero offers a 15/1 morning line. The Clifford DeLima trained 6-year-old mare broke her maiden over the lawn. DeLima hasn’t raced her over the grass since. He wins 14% going all-weather to turf, and who knows? The overlay could wake up after setting hoofs down on the grass.
Like Flashy Hero, Northern Rose returns to the grass after trying the all-weather. The last time Northern Rose raced over the sod, she finished third in a $50,000 starter allowance. The 10/1 morning line has a real shot to get into the exacta.
8/5 chalk Lady Phillips is a consistent runner. She’s finished in the money in 5-of-8 over the lawn. But she has just a single turf win. No doubt, she should be the favorite. But at what should be even money or worse, she’s tough to put on top.

William Delia trained I’m A Rockette won her first 3 races. She turned the corner in a bad way in her fourth and fifth race. She hasn’t run since March 6, though, and Delia’s been hot. He has 4 wins and a third from 16 starters. There’s enough speed in this to set up I’m A Rockette.
One of those speed horses is Morning Addiction. Peter Eurton saddled this one to a maiden win in its last. The Carpe Diem sired runner faces a suspect field. Not only that, but speed is speed. If Morning Addiction gets the lead, she could run off to a daylight win.
Pearl Dragon figures to press the second choice or take the lead outright. The Goldencents sired filly has a 1-1-2 record from 4 races at GG Fields. She’s a must use in the exotics.

Race 8 – 7:15 pm ET – 5 Furlongs Turf – $75,000 Camillo Ursula Stakes
As we might expect, there’s a ton of speed signed on for this 5 furlong turf sprint. The horse that should take advantage of that speed is Storming Lady. Kent Desormeaux rides, Lady has a 2-3-3 record from 9 races at the distance, and Alfredo Marquez wins 20% with his turf starters.
Fantasy Heat is another filly who could take advantage of a fast pace. She goes for Mark Glatt. Heat has 3 wins and a third from 5 races at the distance. Take her seriously as a win contender.
Dan Markle trained Ima Happy Cat isn’t bred to like the lawn. But one of her best races happened in this exact stakes last year. She finished second in that. She could wake up returning to the grass.
