2017 MLB Props You Must Bet Early This Season

Written by on April 5, 2017

With the 2017 MLB regular season just two days old, there’s still time to cash in on the vast majority of MLB season-long futures odds, but the time to strike is now. Let’s get started with a look at some of my MLB betting favorites.

2017 MLB Props You Must Bet Early This Season

How many no-hitters will be recorded during the 2017 regular season? (single pitcher only)

Over 1.5 (-280)Under 1.5 (+200)Analysis: If you don’t know, there were five no-hitters in 2014, a whopping seven no-hitters in 2015, but just one last season. I’m thinking this props odds wager is a lock to go over the 1.5 total.Pick: Over 1.5 No-Hitters

Will any pitcher record a perfect game during the 2017 regular season? (single pitcher only)

Yes +500No -1150Analysis: There hasn’t been a perfect game since 2012 when there were three in that season. I’m going to say there won’t be a perfect game in 2017, simply because the odds are against it!Pick: No

Will any player record at least 30 home runs and 30 stolen bases during the 2017 regular season?

Yes +400No -650Analysis: 2012 was apparently, a helluva’ season, because there hasn’t been a player to record the 30-30 double since 2012 when Ryan ‘Roid’ Braun and Mike Trout both pulled off the rare feat.Pick: No

Will any player win the Triple Crown during the 2017 regular season?

Yes +1000No -2400Analysis: The last time a big league player recorded the super rare Triple Crown was in 2012 when Detroit’s Miguel Cabrera pulled off the feat. Prior to that, Carl Yastrzemski pulled it off for Boston way back in 1967, one year after Frank Robinson did it for Baltimore in 1966. Overall, there have been only 17 Triple Crowns in MLB history, so the easy pick here is for the ‘No’ selection.Pick: No
